Horde High Elves is a lie

true. its a powerful metaphor. tugs at the heart strings doesnt it? high elves are blood elves, a few arent and are really just blood elves with a different political opionion :+1:

Yes, she is a high elf supporter.

But i did not see any evidence that she was being a liar about her displays.

I’ll say.

You insist we talked in discord yet i don’t even know who you are or which server.

Nor do i recall arguing that debate recently.

Not quite, we are the same race of elf, and we bloodelves are formerly high elves. But saying ‘bloodelves are highelves’ is like saying 'Americans are just the English."

Denial strong this one. Beside that envy is the root of all evil.

ok last response. americans and english have had hundreds of years and multiple generations to become distinct from each other. high elves have been divided for maybe 15 years at the most. an honest comparison would have been theyre as different as republicans and democrats. but that doesnt imply there is an equivalence between the 2 groups as ‘high’ elves are a fraction of the population

a blood elf IS a high elf. as development confirmed and chronicles lays out. the high elves are the blood elves, that a tiny few arent is irrelevant

First two paragraphs are kinda sorta about the Alpha, but are thin cover for what is just another HE thread.

I’d say its a pretty relivant comparison, Americans and English have the same roots yet have become seperate nations, with seperate leaders. We are the same race, we look the same (mostly) but have different attitudes and some cultural discrepancies.

Yes Blood Elves seperated from the High elves more recently, but elves also evolve faster it seems, as we allready have visal differences with the eyes.

As for population, there’s enough high elves around to rival us at almost every turn as the Alliance counterpart to us. There is more of us, but there are also enough of them to be a significant faction that has had a presence in every expansion.

The rivalry between the Bloodelves and the Highelves is a good thing, it gives us depth. Stop trying to pretend they don’t exist.

OP, that post was a wild ride.

Not when elfs live for thousands of years
And the blood elfs saying we are not high elfs in the last 20 years…

The color of my eyes does not define my race and heritage thank you very much!

And 20 years after Americans seperated from England, they still wouldn’t consider themselves as ‘just English’.

Amusingly, fanservice is usually a positive addition to the product. Blizzard’s treatment of the High Elf topic is a great example of purely negative fanservice, though. It’s just the devs going “hahahahaha it doesn’t matter how strongly associated High Elves are to the Alliance,” which gets Horde fans off, sure, but is a despicable marketing strategy overall.

Blizzard themselves obviously consider the “official High Elf faction” the one that resides in SIlvermoon. The problem is they put the Silver Covenant on the Alliance side for 12 years and had people play alongside them, they controlled the Alliance half of Dalaran and the Argent Tournament, they controlled the Alliance half of the Isle of Thunder. They participated in the Siege of Suramar. The Silver Covenant rep bar is part of the Alliance Vanguard.

Blizzard was just too stupid and inept to realize Aliance players would eventually want to play as them.

Horde are going to come burn down your home to prove you wrong.

I mean, that’s the only thing they can do. Because Alliance High Elves aren’t wrong, they’re the way things should be.
