Horde feels like deception to new players

New players have to play through Exile’s Reach and will interact with NPCs of each faction race (not the Allied races).

For the Horde, some of these character are really funny/interesting/cool, especially Cork Fizzlepop (Goblin) and Herbert Gloomburst (Forsaken).

After completing the new player zone, players are sent to level up in Dragonflight before TWW. The Horde has almost no real interaction with the main plot or stories at all. Sure, Baine has a few lines in DF and Thrall has a couple lines in TWW, but that’s it. Newbies are shown how interesting some of the Horde characters can be, but then are completely ignored.

Well when the entire writing staff only likes elves and alliance

It’s bound to happen

I agree.

The Horde experience was ruined the moment Baine said a single word.

lmao.

Ohh… come off it. Do you know how long the writers favoured the Horde? It’s honestly scary that for once the Alliance is getting some love. We’ve been the neglected faction for decades.

He was grounded and sitting in a corner for most of Shadowlands though.

You’re joking, right?

Alliance has been front and center since legion

Hordes only purpose was to die since then

No, lol. Do I really need to gather proof of this?

Horde focus was in Mists and in BFA and only to make the Horde the bad guys for the Alliance to be the heroes. Each side still had story up until after BFA, then after that, we Hordies just do quests for Alliance NPCs.

Also Argus had us doing things with Velen, Alleria and Turalyon. It was an Alliance patch.

Sure, let’s see what xpacs you say are horde focus

Can’t wait to see it being “The bad guy was orc so it’s horde X-Pac”

Or Orc tribes never in the Horde, or Goblin cartels that are not in the Horde. The usual.

That would be “never”.

Honestly lol

Like classic was more alliance cuz horde was an afterthought

Tbc was fairly even but probably more belf content

Wrath was even

Cata was even and then horde bad guys

Mop was even and then killing ex-horde

WOD was definitely more horde based, I’ll give that

Then nothing but alliance or kill horde

After Warlords of Draenor had a less than favorable reception and it having a good deal of Horde’ish zones and architecture and lots n lots of Orcs…I feel some Blizzard folks got the idea that and Horde/Orc’isms is to blame and is bad and to tone it down going forward xP.

Those Orcs were not in the Horde. It’s like saying Undermine is Horde because Goblins are playable in the Horde. When the story tells us, these cartels are not in the Horde. They’ve never even heard of you before. Even the Bilgewater.

As much as I love Horde and will always be a Horde girlie. I think new players are just better off playing Alliance. We’re a lost cause and Blizzard doesn’t like us.

I loved how hard gazlowe really pushed the fact they all had nothing to do with the horde there and all relationships meant nothing

Then he just glazed the alliance the entire time, cuz we almost had a patch where they weren’t the most important heroes

And Alleria still somehow shows up there too.

I said Horde’isms, my gods…don’t be dense. A lot of people will still view these aspects as Horde, and they are a Horde just not ours

And those people are wrong. We already said people were gonna say that and then you come in with it, lol.
