Horde feels like deception to new players

Yes, and I came in with my own thoughts about why Horde can feel like an afterthought and with the less than favorable expansions of WOD and BFA having those aesthetics, that some can attribute it to a reason why some players may not have enjoyed their time there.

Insane person take.

The Devs do favor Alliance and you cannot convince me otherwise.

Let’s look at the evidence:
Horde: Ugly and odiferous surviving in horrible settlements, barely literate and live in squalor
Alliance: Heroes one and all!

It is no wonder that Alliance is favored, Quite right too!

You interact with them in follower dungeons, which new players might explore.

But this is kind of a silly point because Alliance doesn’t really interact with their characters from the intro either.

I’m still waiting for them to gathering the info to prove it

We’re spending most of the time hanging out with Anduin and Alleria, and two zones with the Bronzebeard family.

The only time we get to anything Horde-related is in the next patch.

Edit:

Derp, Undermine, sorry.

That’s TWW, though. Not DF. New players get sent to DF, where there isn’t a lot of faction involvement at all until the Emerald Dream patch.

No we’re not. Actually we’re spending most of our time with the Arathi, Earthen, and Nerubians.

Why not mention the time we spend with Gazlowe and Lillian? We probably spend more time with Gazlowe than Anduin in this expansion so far, actually.

Honest take from me: Wait, Lillian Voss was somewhere, this expansion?

If she was, it was so small I either missed it or instantly forgot about it.

Lillian is in this expansion? And doesn’t Gazlowe say that the Bilgewater in Undermine aren’t even part of the Horde?

I think she showed up on the arathi zone for like 2 minutes

She has a questline in Azj-Kahet.

I’m pretty sure he tells Alliance players not to worry about it because it’s not really Horde business. But Bilgewater are Horde. Maybe I’m not remembering the exact dialogue, but it essentially breaks down to this not being Horde business, it’s goblin business.

It’s not Sunday yet.

Nah pretty sure he says the Bilgewater in Undermine didn’t sign the contract or whatever and they don’t even really know about the rest of them being in the Horde. The only Horde Bilgewater are those who were on that boat by the end of the goblin questline. It’s stupid, but that’s canon apparently.

Working as intended, no one will play horde.

What’s the source on that? The dialogue might be completely different depending on faction, also.

Ok. Regardless, Gazlowe is Horde, even if the Bilgewater in Undermine isn’t. I know people really want to pretend that isn’t the case, because they want Horde to be victimized, but he is a Horde character, he is Horde rep, and we spend time with a Horde character and a primarily Horde race.

People claim this is an Alliance expac because we’ve spent so much time with Alleria and Anduin, but we’ve probably spent more time with Gazlowe considering he has a questline in Azj-Kahet and Undermine, and we see him regularly for Undermine WQs.

There’s been several threads on this topic already. You can quickly google some of them up.

The major point of contention is whether or not a dialogue line that said Bilgewater aren’t fully in the Horde was removed from the game or not. Pretty sure the final conclusion is “no, it’s still in the game”.

It’s insane that you people really think this is how the Horde thinks beyond like 3 people on the forums in order to conveniently downplay any actual criticism of how the Horde is treated in the story.

It’s lazy, pathetic, repetitive, and see-through.

It’s not 3 people. There are regularly threads complaining about Horde rep when there’s Horde rep. It’s just never enough.

And you think that represents a large portion of the Horde playerbase? And that NONE of those forum posts have any legitimate grievances?

Yeah, you’re kind of a moron, aren’t you? Or you just want an excuse to downplay legitimate criticism of how the horde is treated in the story by reducing the entire faction to a monolith you can tear down.
