In my mind I’m still a vulpera, just driving a dwarf-shaped mech around.

At least you could be a dwarf within the Horde. 
But to get back to the topic, copying the same race three times and then selling it as a new race is just embarrassingly pathetic from every perspective imaginable.
They didn’t, though. It would have been MUCH BETTER if they actually had.
Dark Irons got the same uber-racial that original Dwarves had.
But when faced with the prospect of Horde characters having the standard Dwarf racial, Blizzard balked. They couldn’t even manage that much.
A bunch of us were at least looking forward to Earthen as a “Horde dwarf option” but in the end it wasn’t. In the end, Earthen just turned out to be pointless.
I’m just not really involved in that scene. My main focus is on the culture (even though it’s been destroyed for many races by now) and the appearance of the races. Accordingly, the racials don’t concern me as they probably do for most players/casuals.
And then it’s just another low-budget Dwarf 3.0 being sold as a new race and expansion feature. Which is just sad.
