I disagree that the Horde cave needs to be moved back.
The map is asymmetric by design.
Alliance benefits from easier to defend bunkers and more effective archers/LOS issues on those bunkers and the fact that you can skip past most of Frostwolf on the way to the RH thanks to all the wooden palisades.
Having said that – the terrain glitch exploit to avoid the need to negotiate the bridge into DB needs to go. The bridge and the challenge crossing it is key to the BG and is one of the key balancers of Horde’s head-start.

Just accept that the BG is horde favored and move on. It wont change.

If it was horde favored, why were the alliance winning the most back then.

because people weren’t skipping the bridge entirely to get into DB?
They werent. at least in this variation of AV. There is a reason why the horde cave was moved back in early TBC

And I agree with that, even playing fields should happen, but that wasn’t in classic. Strawmanning for further changes due to the few abusing and creating havoc for both factions, doesn’t warrant further changes.
I gave suggestions on how to counter act this, and was met with LOL YOU’RE HORDE. Which means somoene doesn’t want a solution, they just want to whinge.

I am not saying jumping into the back of DB is okay…but it can be shut down by a single hunter. And that hunter gets the luxury of standing in a place where he is covered by archers.

Yes, both the trick to sneak into the back of of the alliance base AND the similar trick for alliance to sneak into the back of the horde base should BOTH be fixed. I agree completely.

Jumping the outside FE fence is nowhere near what running up the back of DB is. The latter by passes the entire choke.
The version of AV we have right now was introduced at the very end of vanilla. It is right after they removed or weakened all the npc’s. Once those npc’s were gone it quickly became apparent that the horde entrance was a problem. HOrde were flipping SH bunker before alliance could even reach it, let alone reach horde towers. It was only a few months that this version of AV existed, the map was physically changed shortly afterwards it proved to be such a dramatic advantage for the horde.
I understand this, but their clammoring about us always having an advantage. we did not.
This is fine but in that case it’s best to alternate sides. Then at least each faction gets to use the features of each side and the differences are shared over time. Any benefits of one side or another even out.

Archers melee through the floor and walls. Do you even play the game?
Are you seriously trying to claim that you can’t assault a horde tower more easily than an Alliance bunker? I spent several expansions as a frustrated horde, lamenting the weakness of our towers, and the last few weeks enjoying the ease at which I just run up a tower, shelter inside the hut at the top and assault the flag with impunity. Obviosuly IBT and Tower Point have mini bosses up there to stop you (usually pulled away and killed fairly quickly on the ground), but this is certainly not the case for the Frostwolf ones.
Mate if you agro the archers and go down to the bottom of the tower complete los they still melee you.
As do your commanders melee through the stairs in your bunkers, it’s not mutually exclusive to the horde side.
For sure, but you can’t claim a los advantage when you can’t los because a mob has some weird bugged melee range.
The design of the base/ towers looks like it does, but in reality it doesn’t work that way.
The fact remains, we can assault a tower without killing a single guard. Maybe there are bugs that impact other parts of the tower, but I can cap the frostwolf ones just by running past the archers.
Congrats you can cap towers on both sides.
The backdoor route only gives horde easier access to the south bunker, it doesn’t do anything to help you get to the aid station considering there are tons of NPCs around it, and alli also have a quicker walk back from their GY spawn to the aid station flag. I also hear alot of complaints about the IB gy choke point, yet SH gy also works perfectly as a choke if you have people stand closer towards Balinda’s building so that both sides are covered (just like you need to do at IB gy if you want to make it a proper choke).
People also don’t seem to acknowledge that alli also have a sneak route into the horde base, going through the fence around the West frostwolf tower. We have alli rogues constantly crawling around in our base and ninajing flags due to it. That doesn’t seem to get mentioned when alliance are complaining though, interestingly enough.
