Horde Assassin Buff not appearing after 10+ kills

I’ve checked my log and I’m sitting with 32 kills in the past hour and a half all in the same zone (Stormsong Valley), at least 2/3 were 1v1 and the majority were max level people but I am still counted as Soldier of the Horde. I understand the bounty is given randomly to someone who has the Assassin buff but I’m not even receiving the Assassin Buff. I have yet to die for all of these kills. Can someone please clarify if receiving the assassin buff requires something else other than killing 10 players without dying in the same zone/continent.

(edit: funny enough just after posting this, the next kill granted me the Horde Assassin buff, but that was still 33 counted kills)

It’s random… for the longest time after I got the Slayer title I never got the assasin buff though I used to get it frequently before. I initially thought you don’t get it afterwards but then I got it last night after I was part of a raid which ambushed and destroyed an alliance raid in the great seal.
So definitely random and it matters not how you get kills.

There are some days where I get it exactly on 10 kills. And other days I’m going 20 plus till I just give up

Y’all need to read a little closer, he said ASSASSIN BUFF, not bounty. For some reason he wasn’t getting the Assassin Buff even after 30+ kills without dying. That is really odd but good to know you eventually got the buff. Maybe you weren’t getting honor for said kills or the server was extremely lagging.

So do you still keep the assasin buff if you get killed after you get it?

No once you die, it vanishes. But it’s so easy to get, I never even pay attention to it. Nice necro btw. ><
