Dude. I can guarantee you. No one gives a flying hoot anymore about who’s evil or who’s good.

Im a Blood Elf we are Horde for our hilarious sarcasm, snarly comments and our fantastic attitude. And we boost up their beauty levels. How is that evil?

I suppose every evil faction has to have a black hearted beauty queen.

We needed yet another thread about this?

FYI, you spelled Ruination wrong for your guild name. Have a nice day.

It’s number 5 in my book “How to evil effectively”. Here’s the top 5:

1- Join a faction of monsters.
2- Always work for world domination.
3- Only take a bath once per year. Yes evil have to smell bad.
4- Make sure that you switch leader really often. Kill them if you can for more evil points.
5- Having a black hearted beauty queen really help as it will be more easy to excuse all the horrible things she will do.
5.1- Make sure she lead a race she’s not part of for extra points.

But I bathe quite regularly.

I wonder if that’s why all the other Orcs look at me funny.

This is true, but don’t pretend the Alliance haven’t done this in the past either. Taurajo comes to mind - yes children were killed in that as well, whether or not the commander ‘left a way out’ into quillboar territory.

Point is, both sides do horrible things in the faction war… Blizz writing though seems to whitewash anything the alliance does, so they come across as boring white knight faction - they aren’t… blizz writers need to add more shades of grey, dark grey and black to the alliance to balance the fact out, that both sides have their dark sides.

That sounds like way to much effort. Better for them to paint the Alliance as good guys and Horde as absolute evil, as it always has been and shall always be.

Also, how does that make us evil? None of our races are actually human, aside from the Forsaken who used to be. So who cares about crimes against humanity in a war against humans.

That’s fine. I have no problem with playing game evil.

I really hate to point this out to a horde player but I feel like I have to here.

There are some horde players that still feel like they aren’t the bad guys. Even among the development team. Regardless of how many women and children they butcher down.

Starting with removing the Orc concentration camps and replacing them with a plants vs zombies style game with the world redesign in Cata

killing women and children is not war its a crime against humanity,

Let me fix this…

Killing men in the thousands and sending them to war to fight and die for women is perfectly moral and acceptable

Is this what you meant?

Up to a certain point, it was a back and forth and good and bad or righteous vs evil was subjective. Both sides did both good and bad things and perception made a huge difference.
That seems to have, more and more, changed. During beta I had a really hard time with what I was seeing and, as a 10 year bi-factional player- really wasn’t happy about how clear the line was between good and bad. Worse, my character had zero agency. If I wanted the new zones, I goose stepped and saluted and did them.
One of the reasons I didn’t resub or buy it. And for those wondering why I’m on the forums… I’m keeping up with it all not to mock it or hope it fails. Actually, I’m keeping up and playing the new stuff on the ptr hoping and praying it gets better. A year ago I never would have imagined that I wouldn’t be playing right now.
