Hoping they fix Tank Shaman too

Ele getting a slap on the wrist nerf with burn losing half its spellpower? That’s fine.
A myriad of Enhance dps nerfs? Acceptable, we all know it was over performing.

So, can we fix Tank Shaman in p4 now? As long as rockbiter has that 90% AP nerf attached to it, it doesn’t function. Tank Shamans can’t hold threat. There’s even a mental dex nerf that will make Rockbiter’s AP not scale as hard as it was, so…

Can we remove the Rockbiter nerf now? It’s literally the only thing holding the spec back.

Now that I play a shaman, I fully support giving melee shaman as much attack power from just rockbiter as a bis naxx geared warrior with all available buffs active. It makes perfect sense that shaman get 3k attack power just by casting rockbiter twice.

Blizzard make it happen.

This guy gets it

Please give my ele shaman primordial wave to proc lava surge every 3 seconds.

Have to say no, unless it is tied to shield mastery or simply have a shield on.

It will be abused as enhancement. The AP was too much before, especially dual wielding. Limiting the buff to even only one weapon, in the off-hand that is a silly amount of AP.

Tank Shaman has to have a shield. It can’t double rockbiter. Don’t get off topic here.

You traitor. We are completely fair and balanced with the original rockbiter.

It highlights the fact that, that fact, needs to be distinguished.

A proposal should include that distinction if it is voted on or submitted officially or what not.

They do not know how the game works. They attached the fix to sheild mastery to 6 peice t1. They’ve never fixed threat and only shaman tank struggles. They’re so dumb they legit didn’t know the nerf would hurt threat. They don’t know how shaman tank mana regen even works, look at all the hot swapping we had to do to a pair of sham rage pants every other trash pull.

The devs don’t play the game, expect nothing good.

Take your Enhance dps concerns to a thread made for that. This is about Tanks.

You’re off topic if you aren’t talking about tanks.

Shamanistic rage is baseline come phase 4.

IT TOOK FOUR PHASES DAWG. THAT’S WHAT I’M SAYING. Dog.

Changes make to rockbiter impact enhancement dps builds too. Again though, i think it’s a great idea that with only 2 level 1 grey axes equip a shaman can have 3000 attack power. It just makes sense.

Wow make it so it only works with a sheild on or instead increases threat by 100%.
So hard. You sound like a blizz dev, stop posting and start tying.

Amazing news for tank sham tbh. Like, it’s a single piece of good news, but one that helps a lot.

Let’s be real, Tank Shaman faces a myriad of issues. Tankiness isn’t really one of them tbh, but it boils down to:

Threat and Damage
Earth Shock is the Taunt
Generating threat while not the main tank

Even removing the Rockbiter nerf would only address some of that. A huge issue comes from the fact that Earth Shock does too many things for a spell that taunts. If you’re off tanking, you can’t press it because you don’t want to taunt. That means you can’t use it for threat generation, you can’t use it to interrupt, and you can’t use it for damage.

Tank Shaman needs to peel the taunt off Earth Shock for starters.

I agree tanks need what you propose, but how do you prevent DPS from the benefit? While dual wielding, nerf by 90%?

What do you suggest? Your idea isn’t wrong or bad, just needs a logical implementation. Why take it elsewhere? It is entirely relevant to this thread.

I don’t need to make a suggestion. If double rockbiter is an issue, remove it. Why focus on it?

Because singular rock biter is also an issue in off-hand.

Flametongue will only be used alongside AoE burn rune during trash phase or Eranikus fight. Even then, there isn’t enough instances where swapping makes them equal and even having rockbiter 24/7 would probably out perform the 200sp from flametongue on off-hand and lava lash damage increase.

Ugh, this is why TBC changed rockbiter from AP to just weapon DPS.
