Was just curious what people were hoping for come 9.0, both from each spec and from the Rune / RP system shared between them.

I could give a laundry list of things I miss from previous versions and go on a rant about it, but I’ll spare the wall of text. I’ll limit my comments to 2 things:

balance the lvl 100 talents so that all of them are viable. I personally do not enjoy the Breath of Sindragosa playstyle and want nothing to do with it, but regardless of how I feel I think it’s important to have 3 viable choices.

Allow xmog between weapon types. For DKs that means dw -> 2h for frost and 2h -> dw for blood/unholy. I miss my 2h xmogs.

The 100 tier is the problem. BOS is so far above and beyond much stronger than the other 2, and if you hate BOS you’re screwed. Maybe if the other 2 talents had a way to alleviate the resource starvation, it wouldn’t be quite so bad. Also, PoF and ERW shouldn’t be on the GCD. It just feels terrible.

I’d like to see a lot of the power returned to unholy and taken away from the passive damage, I’d like to see scourge strike be a 2 rune nuke attack again and just get rid of the damn festering wounds

I would like blood to be kind of changed to more of a system where we generate bone shield charges much faster and can stack like 15. and when we have more than 8 stacks we actually have a semi functional shield block system where we can do “lesser blocks” that mitigate maybe 20 percent damage or something. And another system to actually make us want to spend boneshield charges instead of just looking at a 30 second buff waiting for it to tick off. This would be balanced with the increased boneshield charge gained per marrowrend.
DRW definitely needs to feel more impactful in legion it felt SO good and now its just like okay use it when I need quick shield charges. I also think blood and dks as a whole have very lacking glyphs outside of the undead minion changeable appearances. I would like cooler glyphs added.

so you basically want the older system of tanking in wow where parry and block and dodge mattered instead of gear.

Bring back all of them. DW Blood, 2H Frost, DW Unholy.
Btw, does anyone else just not really like Bone Shield? And/or Boiling Blood on a cooldown in place of a Rune generation mechanic outside of Rune Strike?

I’d like to see Blood DK more versatile, understandable DK’s are tough but they are certainly limited especially when you look at a DK and a paladin. Sure DK’s can heal whilst doing damage and get a magic resistance buff but paladins get so much more. 2x 10sec immunity from everything 1 instant heal every 10 - 15 sec a bloody multiple damage reduce abilites a charged heal a 8sec ridable horse to charge or flee battle that’s not including a self 12sec buff that gives wings and so much more that’s insane. Idk about everyone here but I normally don’t play DK that often because they are so pointless in BFA demon Hunter and paladin destroy DK.

% sure on what everyone’s thoughts are on DK but to me playing a healing druid DK’s don’t even scratch and when I’m playing with my friends who plays a Fire Mage the second we see a DK it’s almost like easy kill lol. DK attacks Mage I put thorns on Mage DK’s dead before he even removed Fire Mage shield. Unlike monk who can karma / heal it or DH who can remove that type of stuff or Paladin who can bubble / heal or shammy who can cast so no big deal or priest who can simply put dots over time like OMG!
I always thought DK’s were meant to be the class everyone saw on the BF and went ummm will avoid him or there’s 3 of us we should be able to stand toe to toe. The hole point of a (DEATH KNIGHT) is to be an undead warrior that is insanely hard to kill and be feared. Not laughed at and be like ROFL easy kill.
Anyway that’s just my point of view as a druid.

Exactly. I see a dk I feel like a free kill. When I see a paladin I always try to avoid that fight. When I see a rogue stealth I worry. When I see a disc priest I don’t even bother. Wish dks would bring the fear back like previous expansions.

Yea actually had 2 fully geard DK’s on me and I out healed them whilst healing team mates whilst typing /lol at them
I felt bad for the DK’s after that. Then Fire Mage came along and owned me in 8sec flat solo.

No such thing as skill anymore not compared to the old days of wow anyway. Gear is everything in wow ROFL.

you got me there, however gear is not as important in pvp because of the ilvl scaling system, its like legions templates. that said gear matters currently because of the powerloss from hitting 120, you need decent gear as a DK just to get your haste levels back up to normal, however past that point skill > gear.

I really like UHDK being the healer hassling spec. Necrotic strike is a beautiful thing and allows for some fun set up play as opposed to just mongo damage.
Death Strike is great now, I love the active healing based off resources with damage thrown in too. Popping Transfusion and healing up right in someone’s face is really, really fun.
Our burst seems scattershot right now. Spread over multiple abilities and reliant upon pets and summoned critters. When I go ham I feel a bit like a Demo lock, not so sure about that vibe.
Oh, and we should be able to “tame” our own pets!
