Oh, I was expecting some kind of blinking cursor to let you know where it is on the screen at all times.

I’d appreciate it being an option instead of a weak aura, but I do love the weak aura over letting jesus take the wheel in a pack of 20 fat mobs…

Nope, the cursor just stopped “blinking” in 9.0.
Pre-9.0 the cursor would disappear when you click, the same way it disappears now if you hold down the left mouse button and drag to pan the camera.

I use something like this if I need to see my cursor in combat

but the blinking cursor isn’t really about finding your cursor.

I dunno if those are still a thing but many years ago (wanna say Vanilla? TBC?) there used to be addons that could attach models and spell effects to your cursor. For a little while I used that to attach the old Shaman lightning projectile to my cursor which looked neat, it left proper trails and everything.

I’ve used used the addon cursor trail for ever. It’s very helpful.
