The pet is for Cata Classic, not retail. (Which is stupid.)

The Swoopy owl pet is only available on WoWÂŽ Classic progression realms (currently Cataclysm ClassicTM).

Oh i didn’t realise. “Don’t fly owl by yourself” made me think they were suggesting you have the little guy fly alongside the big guy. Which is countered by them immediately saying it’s classic only, sure. But to be honest I only skimmed it.

Does the pet at least stay out while flying in classic? Because if not, what are they even talking about?

blizzard has a hatred for sense. No reason it couldn’t be both.

What really irks me is there is no reason other than Blizzard logic for this. There was one, I think the last one, where toons on the Lich King could claim the pet and mount. I did, but the mount vanished the next day when they reversed their ‘mistake’.

It’s a pun. Instead of the word “all” they used “owl” because it sounds similar. The mount is an owl.

Yeah man, I got that. I was talking about the actual message about not flying by yourself. That says to me that the pet flies with you. It’s been a while since I’ve bothered having a pet out but I thought typically they don’t fly when you do. Just despawn. So I’m wondering which is the case for this little guy.

Well the Soul of the Aspects pet in the shop says that it flies the skies with you, so I’d venture to guess that this new owl pet also can fly with you.

It’s also not how most of the older pets work so it’s a fair question. I uninstalled cata to make space otherwise id check for ya
