I think you’re missing my point here, people being pricks should not block good things from being added to the game.
Be it gilgoblins or sethrak, or pvp vendors.

No one is perfect. 
I don’t even think I was thrilled about Mechagnomes at first, although for different reasons than “but muh Sethrak.” I initially thought they weren’t well done and better for customization. I see different know and fully understand they are loved and have a fan base as a rightful Allied Race. And they have been growing on me.
It is good to grow and mature though.
All in all. I do think Sethrak deserve to become playable. They are a unique option and have a good design. They have very good lore. Just like the Mechagnomes. And they will make many players happy.
And of course my biased reason of my intense love for them.

But. I guess your right. There is good and bad in all fanbases.
Our emotions and passion can often lead us to act irrational. Especially when there is conflict of interest involved.

And I will say that the misconceptions of limited AR slots did not help whatsoever.
And it still does not help. I still see threads referencing “Remaining AR slots”
So it creates this sense of urgency and panic to try and explain why X race is better than Y race to become playable.
Remember this. This is a quote from a lost codex interview. Emphasis on the bold sentence.

Releasing a system with slots like that and not giving a clear idea on what allied races are supposed to be was a horrible thing to do. It lead to so much animousity that otherwise wouldn’t have existed. Vulpera and gilgoblins for example in lore would be great pals. However because of the notion that one may come in place of the other, it caused a lot of division and animosity.
Btw OP, I still really like your idea. I’m not a giant Jinyu/Ankoan fan personally but nor does it affect me.
I hope you submit your ideas into the in game suggestion box!
Think your idea has some hope on the Sethrak side since (not to put out too much spoilers) there is concrete evidence of Sethrak being continued with in some form in Shadowlands.

I will freely admit I dont want certain things to happen in the game because I dont want certain people to get their way.
Is it spiteful? Yeah sure
Am I all that bothered? Nope. Still hope they dont get their way.

Spitefully trying to stop anyone from getting something they want to see when they are not the arbiter of what ends up getting added is silly.
Blizzard decides and if a small number of player inputs mattered directly, we’d have High Elves and Ogres and so much else by now.
Let people ask for what they want to see and leave em be. If you have a differing opinion, be respectful about it. None of us has a choice in whats added, if Blizz takes what we want and puts it in, its on them not us.

Second part of my post is meant more as a general comment rather than directed at you. I should have been clearer on that.
Still, I think responding in kind just keeps a negative energy being put into what you’re fighting for. It doesn’t help and just makes it less likely to be seen positively.
Don’t return their energy. Let them fizzle out on their own.
I don’t think Blizzard will make more allied races from BfA in SL. They will likely make new SL races to be new allied races. Like for example these buff looking owls. I think they look awesome but likely Horde would get them since Alliance get horrible allied races.
Stiff awful nelf model has been used enough. Jinyu and ankoan are the least interesting anthropomorphs that are left to add. No thanks.
I’m not so sure. Two more AR from BfA would track. We got 6 from Legion and currently have 4 from BfA.
And technically DID and Mag Orcs were lumped with Legion but we got them later in BfA.
Its only been used for the Night Elf and Nightborne model for PC’s. One more wont matter.
Besides this one at least looks different.

They havent used the worgen or undead models on any Ar yet. Lets use those first.
Don’t get your hopes up. I am betting they will be all SL’s races. Why would we all of a sudden have Sethrak and Ankoan when they will have 0 part in SL?
