So I made this post because I want to honor Naya Rivera who sadly passed away on July 8 after going on boat trip with her 4 year old son. Apparently they went swimming and the boat started to drift away and Naya was able to save her son just in time before sadly going under unable to save herself. Such a tragedy.
For those of you who didn’t know who Naya was she was an actress and singer best known for her portrayal of Santana Lopez on “Glee”.
I know this doesn’t have anything to do with wow but I still wanted to honor Naya who died as a hero.
R.I.P Naya you were taken at a very young age but your soul lives forever among the guiding light and angels.

how was she a hero out of curiosity if she was an actor?

Did you think being a hero was a job and not contingent on her actions? lol

Looks like OP is talking about the actress saving her son from drowning and losing her own life in the process.

After looking into this its an amazing thing she did to save her child
Hero is someone that puts the life of another above their own life.

She lost her life saving her son’s.
I have to say, hearing about this did bring a tear to my eye.
Also, I loved her version of Valerie. I still have it on one of my playlists.
RIP.

I kinda don’t don’t honor one person but many in like a prayer. Cause right now many good people are dying.
Just have to find the happy moments in the time we have. Theres a possibility at any moment that we could die. And it will come no matter we do in the end.
Take a look at a league of legends amv with kindred. I can’t link videos. But if you go to youtube and look up the lamb and the wolf voices. You should be able to find it.
Its excellent.
Some people are just more empathetic and that’s not something I’m going to knock
Grieving about one celebrity you liked is not being sad over every single thing

Doesn’t seem like she was a very experienced boater, she should have anchored the boat if they were going to be in the water swimming. Probably wasn’t a good idea to be out there by herself with her 4 year old son either. Very tragic situation all around. Can’t imagine what the kid is going to go through as he grows up and comes to terms with what happened.

Oh damn.
I didn’t recognize her name at first, but I definitely knew who she was when you said Santana Lopez. I’m glad she was able to save her son but so sad she herself drowned.
Maya sacrificed her own life to save her sons life.
The theory is that the boat wasn’t anchored, floated away, and she only had the energy to muster swimming back to the boat (carrying her son) and placing him onto it, but not enough energy to pull herself up.
So many comments here are so blatantly rude towards her because of the roles she played or the profession she chose.
I never watched Glee but any mother who saves her son is a hero in my eyes.
RIP Naya.
