"honorable" kill

There’s nothing honorable about griefing players half your level who you literally one shot.

Imo honor should be only given on kills where your item level is roughly equivalent. The system should not incentivize bullying leveling players completely helpless to fight back.

This change alone would make war mode much better

Fight for your life. Or turn off WM. Also you can’t kill players half your lvl and get honor.

I would not recommend turning on Warmode until you at least have a full set of honor gear.

Otherwise, you’ll be easy pickings for those of us that do have them.

I think we should ask for consent before we attack other players.

Simply agreeing to participate in War mode isn’t good consent as consent can be revoked at any time.

There needs to be a popup when someone attacks me, so that I consent to the attack.

Pretty sure you dont get any honor from killing low levels. As a matter of fact killing others players in general is a terrible source of honor. Long story short, people killed you for a good laugh, not honor.

Well I was questing and this hunter kept griefing me forcing me to vanish and run away when I was just questing … this is back when I was like 65 and he was like ilevel 400

Then of course, the attacker would have to consent to your consent… and there will be a 5 second delay before giving consent on either side just to make sure.

Isn’t it already that way…

if you had war mode on, he wasn’t griefing you. he was pvping with you.

Hello fellow Dalaran friend. Call in the reserves if you run into these issues.

The definitions of “griefing” and “PvP” change with which side of the bathroom door you’re on.

That said, not leveling in WM solves the problem neatly.

if you have WM on, there is no griefing. you simple turn it off and continue with your day. you can turn it back on the next time you are in Val if the xp boost is so important.

Or…OR you just keep war mode turned off til max and have some pvp gear so you don’t have this issue that’s existed in wow since wow pvp was a thing and thus wouldn’t be beating a dead horse with another of these kinds of posts?

The solution is a simple one…

Of course you’re a horde player with this opinion

I have characters on both sides and played exclusively on pvp servers unto wm became a thing. even now, i never turn WM off, unless i’m doing a pve raid. That being said, world pvp is not fair, almost never is. it’s the risk you take if you just want the XP buff… I personally do it for the extra excitement, but if you aren’t into that, just leave it off… if you count your downtime from being killed and corpse running, the xp buff is rarely worth it

That’s probably why they don’t award honour for it.

You must be trolling.

If you turn on Warmode, you agree to accept the benefits and consequences of that choice. PVP in this game was never about fairness. You already “consent” to it. Jeez its pvp in a videogame not a crime.

Don’t want to be attacked? Don’t turn it on. It’s quite literally common sense.

As for the OP, killing someone way lower level than you grants no honor. Yes it’s a crappy thing to do, but if you dont want it to happen, don’t go around in warmode. If you toggle it on, you accept what comes with it.

Maybe don’t turn WM on if you don’t wanna be pvp’d.

I’m pretty sure he was being sarcastic, at least, that’s how i read it.

Fair, it’s hard to read that through text at times.
