Honor Levels

Give more honor doing Player vs Player content please. This grind is annoying as hell and unnecessary. 8800 honor (1 honor level) is approximately 40 battlegrounds with mostly wins and counting a few losses. Epic bgs last way to long for it to be efficient and arenas and shuffles just give so little honor it makes it worth not doing. especially if you lose. (yes there is a get gud requirement if you wanna make the most of your honor gain)

Also to add as an extra please let us mail honor to alt toons. I am upgrading my gear for funsies and i have a lot of honor chilling on my alts that I coudl use.

EDIT: Apparently my inability to math and properly think over my thoughts are in full effect. I had meant 20 battlegrounds. After your bonus win for the day you get anywhere between 400-600. Now factor in losses where you get only about 200 or less depending on how the game is feeling.

40? Do you lose every single BG without kills?

8800 honor is like 5-10 normal BG wins.

I used to basically get carried through rated arenas and BGs and honestly, yeah, the honor gains feel dry.

did they fix the honor 500 horse eye animation? last i saw it was paused

I was gonna say… lol

No idea where you pulled ā€œ40 battlegroundsā€ from. Using your own math of 600 honor per win, 40 BGs is almost ~24k honor or just under 3 honor levels

And you’re doing it wrong by the way, if your sole purpose is farming honor levels you shouldn’t be sitting thru losses for ā€œabout 200ā€ honor. Not very efficient, just leave the obvious losses to maximize honor/per hour

Counter offer:

Add in 3 more ā€œComp Stompsā€ to go with AB-Comp Stomp, so that every week, there is a Comp Stomp Brawl.

1> This allows people to gear up quicker/ get into PvP faster. It’s a dead form of content in this PvE-focused gamed, do ANYTHING YOU CAN to lower the barrier to entry.

2> Further break the Comp Stomp into ā€œbeginnerā€ and ā€œadvanced.ā€

2a> Beginner: is what we already have. A true ā€œstomp.ā€

2b> Advanced: is just what you think it is, raise the NPC health, allow them to make smarter decisions, let them be ACTUAL challenges. Is there really a person here that doesn’t realize you can easily scale this to the point you CANNOT win? Stop thumping your chest at ā€œhow easyā€ Comp Stomp is-- it’s DESIGNED that way. It could just as easily kick your teeth in.

Make the Beginner option have mild/decent rewards/ Honor, and the Advanced options have better rewards/ Honor.

I never see more PvP participation in this game than when Comp Stomp is active. It should be used as a tutorial, a way for Honor gains, get people involved … that list is ENDLESS!!!

And instead… we get it twice a year.

Who at Blizzard is in charge of things like this???

In fact its heading the other way per Ion. Honor levels are likely going to increase to 24500 per level with a slight reduction in the amount of honor per BG win/loss etc.

Comp stomp is not pvp participation. It’s ā€œplayers who hate pvp and will never play pvp but who want pvp rewards without having to do pvp for themā€ participation. Add marks of honor to normal random dungeon boss drop tables and you’ll see an equal amount of normal dungeon participation

Comp stomp is not being used to learn bgs or to introduce anyone to pvp. Its a pvp mog and mount dispenser for the same pvers who come to this forum and say ā€œlul theres still pvp in this game?ā€ and nothing else

Also imo all players wearing gear below honor gear ilvl should be scaled up by default to honor ilvl when in instanced pvp

There should be a scenario similar to proving grounds that players can queue for solo to learn map basics if they want

Honestly to me, just cut down the honor needed to lvl up from 8800 to 5000.

You should have done legion warden towers with an army of WQ 18hr cooldown auto complete characters. Especially when Blizz announced they were gonna make account-wide honor for bfa prepatch using existing legion honor amounts. Or do the darkshore meme and then get out quick.

There’s a reason why they picked 8800. It’s because at the time they mathed out that they wanted prestige 25 honor level 50 to be 1/4th way to the max cap (honor level 500 and still is the end of rewards) of rewards they were bringing in with bfa honor revamp. They could not just let people be done with the grind before it started. Hence why each level had to be broken doubt into really obtuse amounts of honor.

Honor gains are pretty good nowadays. Daily wins and weekly quests + enlisted bonus. :dracthyr_comfy_sip:

Honestly i don’t know why people care about honor level at all after you exit the ā€˜brand new to PvP’ bracket.

I’m not trying to be argumentative, but although you’re right that a PvE version of a PvP map isn’t ā€œPvPā€ … the fact you get Honor, can then buy PvP gear, and have a better start in ACTUAL PvP …

… yes, in fact, makes it PvP participation. If people don’t take that second step then… who cares? Imagine being a Mythic raider and being upset that Blizz made a tier-set specifically for outdoor players-- but then those players don’t end up Raiding. WHO CARES?? Read on…

The point of my post is that IT COULD. And after 19 years, when I still see people fighting in the roads, etc … it SHOULD!

And see my first point about ā€œintroducing people to PvP.ā€ It allows people a VASTLY SUPERIOR, FUN method to earn an entry-level set of gear.

If you’re against THAT … you’re not supporting PvP.

Oh yeah I forgot about the darkshore exploit. I’ve always wondered how some people are so high but forgot that people got like 500 honor levels doing that.
