Don’t worry man, the next Shadowlands patch is coming out on June 29th. You don’t need to bother at all with TBC.

In what sequence was everything released?
2.0 Included everything from Kara to Kael
2.1 Was BT
2.2 Was Voice Chat
2.3 was ZA
2.4 was Sunwell
I think the only time badge gear became useful for me was during 2.4, if that timeline is accurate.
I hated ZA… is that when they added yet another massive faction grind? That was TBC? oh man
honor is just fine on alliance, must really suck to have long queues.
TBC has several massive faction grinds and BiS lists have badge gear in them from day 1 IIRC

Those are two different issues and one of them is a player created issue with a player solution.
Doing Hydraxian Waterlords for aqua quintessence MC raids was not enjoyable…
I only ever got to Commander ranking in PvP…tried for the R14, less bots back then as far as I recall. Just people sharing accounts and playing 24/7. Honor Grind, not enjoyable, but the drive for the gear was there. Still not enjoyable to have to continually do this stuff as much as you have to. It’s actually really bad.
College was a thing back then, and was kinda more important.
Any rep grind was out of some guild necessity, which again, was not enjoyable.
Thorium Brotherhood for smithing MC Fire resist gear, there’s another one. Not fun.
And when TBC came out, the Dailies were another horrible thing.
i mean i understand where the honor should be at this point i played orginal tbc what pisses me off is the screwed the prepatch launch from begining so it came live what 1-2 am pdt and like so many i went to bed came online in the morning. now i got to farm for a few hours got 26k honor i was happy thinking cool ill be able to get this fresh 60 some decent gear going into tbc but then the Blizzard hammer came crashing down!!! what a waste of time so nice of blizzard to do this nerf while others and i mean a great many players farmed 200k+ honor to get multiple toons full geared just had to farm marks i mean 90% rest of there subscribers got screwed

You don’t get all that much from HKs now either though. I’ve been queueing AV back to back for the last three days, and the handful of AVs where we actually battled with alliance only give about 200 more honor than if we just rushed to the end and won the battle in 10 minutes. So it’s 10 min AV win for around 300, or 20 minute AV battle for 400 to 500. HKs give like 2 to 10 honor per kill, it’s not enough to justify the longer AV time. Maybe if we were getting 20 to 30 per HK it would be more rewarding but currently the skirmishes feel like a waste of time.
if honor is so slow how am i 6/6 with 40k honor on horde ??

I grinded well over 75k honor after the 10x honor bug was fixed (came close to the cap, bought some goodies, and reached the cap again). I played a good bit, but I managed to get decked out in PvP gear and simultaneously hit the honor / BG mark cap. It’s not a waste of time at all. You just have to, you know, play the game. Getting into competent premades to smash the enemy team quickly helps a lot.
Granted, it might be dramatically more difficult as horde. But hey, that’s the price you pay for stacking onto one faction for “muh OP PvP racialz hurr.”
