Honor for T4 T5 sets, non-unique epic gems

Due to the honor changes, it will be too easy to reach the honor cap. For people like me who likes playing BGs a lot, it feels much less rewarding if I honor capped. Please add rewards I can buy with honor, like T5 T4 sets, gems, or consumes…

The TBC original honor rate design was precise. You just complete your daily bg for a season, You will be close to honor cap. With the new design, everyone who enjoyed bg will be honor capped in maybe 2 months. It is a good change to let people catch up and step into pvp, but it is also essential to keep pvpers feel rewarding.

Update: 2000 easy honor per day from a bg daily and a auchindoun daily, which means honor cap in about a month. Blizzard need to do something for the so much extra honor for pvpers.

this is fair we should be able to buy raid gear with honor since we can buy season 2 gear with raiding tokens.

This is a solid take. Anyone who did BGs consistently got honor capped and full veterans off pieces half way through the season.

Had to spend 50k honor on pvp gems before arena points rolled over or lose them. I do like 1-3 solo or small group queue BGs a day. It was honestly fine for people who play the game.

Now people can get their power boost and go back to afk raid logging

100% agree. I do absolutely nothing but PvP in WoW and am usually honor capped anyways (already have full S3 Vindicator offset pieces and full S2 Merciless main set) for this season so there is nothing for me to spend honor on already at this point one week in. I play arena with a mage so the honor point drinks are also a non-issue.

Would be awesome to be able to spend honor or marks on decent PvE gear, even if it’s a raid tier or two behind, to get my foot in the door for PvE. Would also be great to be able to convert it to currency (at a stupid low conversion rate to dissuade bots/afkers in BGs) or really anything so I’m not sitting capped all season.

Even retail has the honor ranking system, so there is some reason to keep playing battleground.

In ranked battlegrounds. Which are separate from regular battlegrounds

Nah, normal battleground gives you ranks also in retail.

It would make sense to allow people to buy T4 gear with honor and T5 gear with arena points, ideally at the same cost as S1 and S2 gear respectively. I could see this increasing arena participation which is overall great for the PvP scene.

This seems like a reasonable request. Put the same restriction on tokens for Arena points as there is for the same pieces in that season.

Well, one thing to keep in mind is, if you keep farming honor kills now, you can work for the 100k honor kill achievement in wrath, and if you really keep at it, the 250k honor kill achievement and get 2 titles that barely anyone has because not many people even do BGs just for the sake of doing BGs. So that’s going to be a unique and, depending on how you feel about it, rewarding title to work for.
