They instant tag, they have like 4 instant cast spells, they steal mobs, they are all around a degenerate none progressive class to classic, they don’t encourage team play, they encourage building a mage and playing solo because nothing even remotely rivals it in terms of utility, it’s now phase 6 and you’ve done nothing about how mages work, i feel like you must love chinese gold farmers or something because they mage straight ruined your release of wow classic, and every patch thus far, ruined, pointless to play, pointless to play any other class. Boring game, it’s mages, the game.
Good job Activision, you have no idea what balance is, just profit. Ferengi idiots.
It’s actually “Warriors, the game” but in any case it’s Classic: class balancing was never, is not, and will never be a thing because it’s a museum piece. Ancient history.
Tagging and how events are dependant on them it what’s broken. I love Classic but I only ever notice this as an actual problem during limited world events. Outside of these events, it’s a non issue.
1.12 was merely one version of “Vanilla” that was released after all of Vanilla’s major content releases and immediately after a fresh mage rework.
Not going to argue semantics here but you can’t really compare a time frozen game to a game that was evolving and just say “this is just how it always was.”
Fun fact, mages were even better at aoe farming/leveling before it was nerfed multiple times pre 1.12. I don’t know about other classes, but every patch there was a ninja nerf because we abused stuff. lol.
Roll a farm alt mage and stop lamenting that you’re playing the weakest farm class in Classic. Even the warriors have outscaled w/e spell power holy farm build Paladins are attempting these days. I’ll also put out there that despite having a farm alt mage, I still felt the need to level a farm alt spriest and warlock for farms that mages just don’t do as well. Additionally, there are farms that I do on this warrior over the mage because rage is superior to mana for the grind.
Any time “unlimited target cap” isn’t the cornerstone of a farm, being a mage isn’t a huge advantage.
