As plausible a story as any given the lack of communication. I accept this as truth.
1000% yes. People that complain about that are being silly. People that complain about others not adhering to a schedule on a consistent basis are not silly.
GREAT!! another hour
My guess is the layers of complexity with a 20 year old game with millions of features running
And keeping things mysterious probably deters cheaters. Catching them off guard.
I wish I had gotten more into internet security. Dealing with constant threats. Thousands of people doing things they shouldnât be doing. Mitigation.
Running services one by one looking for suspicious stuff.
Because congratulating someone for completing a task late, but earlier than it could have been, makes no sense? If you have a contract to complete work on the 1st, but have to extend it to the 5th for âreasonsâ and then manage to get it done on the 4th, why would anyone say âHey, great job getting that done late!â
Just say itll take 5 hours as a base⌠instead of going 2/4/5, like its not hard lol
The fact that repeated failures to meet their own expectations have created a pattern of incompetence that people are willing to defend is in itself parody.
it def wasnt always like this, when i played in bfa the weekly maintenance was often around 40-45ish minutes
âDonât stand in 'emâ â these people still dont know why they died.
all i hear from you is crying just be happy they fix the game and sometimes somethings happens so the servers are down longer its fine just stop crying about it
Agree with the OP, communication and format needs to change for maintenance windows. I would like to see the goal post not continually be moved up on us just tell us itâs going to be half a day and shoot for less Blizzard. In regard to communication not all of us use twitter (x lolâŚ) it would be nice to see dev updates or âtweetsâ right on the launcher itself regarding maintenance windows.
Youâre correct. Studies have shown that generally, this practice is more well-received both in business and general social interactions. People like to disagree with you for sport try not to let it bother you too much.
My role is Tech/Customer Support MVP. So what I do mostly is help folks navigate the systems that do exist, explain policies, explain account services, etc. Basics.
Even the Community Council, which is the group tasked with providing feedback to the Devs, is not elected by the players. They donât directly advocate for one specific thing on behalf of anyone. That is not a role that exists here.
MVPs or Council, none of us are anything but other players. We donât make the policies or decisions that we explain to players or link to. Sharing how to find info or what a policy is also does not mean a person supports it. I might not like a speed limit for example, but I do share what it is.
Realm status is showing everything online, though.
Be ready for lag etc once the server come back up for play.
Like I said in another post maybe they should just say 7 to 12 am or whatever itâs seems to make us mad when extension happen.
I see they extended it to 12 am lets hope @ or about 12 am the servers come up.
yawnâŚyou can lie to yourself all you want. You complained and I have yet to shill. But if you were mature you would realize this.
The point was, this isnât the norm. And this isnât acceptable by any means for a company that was bought out 65 billion dollars. There is no reason to have week after week inconsistent maintenance for hours at a time when it used to be only an hour tops Tuesdays. This isnât the norm. Stop acting like it is.
oh itâs gonna be one of those daysâŚ
The only one lit up here is you and the people like you. Every maintenance is the same whineâŚyet still playing something you hate so much. Go figure.
I think youâre missing the point. Let us know prior to 10 minutes before we expect to play, communicate the issue with us, give us something. Itâs not much to ask almost every game company letâs you know of issues and what theyâre fixing but that doesnât seem to be a popular trend here anymore. I remember when it was.
