It was like…2016? 2017? Somewhere around there.
But don’t quote me for years, time and I have a shaky relationship.

When was being homophobic every Canon in wow?
It was never said to be.
But because there was no statement for or against, people took the silence as word for it and went about it.
Bigots in 2020 how do they exist haha
But yes sadly they do
Ignorance and it being a taught thing.
Kinda like racism.
Wow this thread is still chugging along. Wonder if I should read the 500 new comments.
Yeah I remember that, it was in the negatives down here for most of the winter, it was nasty. I remember that was the year I brought one of our cats home from work, some guy brought her into the police station and claimed she followed him there. He was just too lazy to take her up to the humane society and wanted a cop to do it.
O O F.
At least he didn’t leave her to perish in the cold.
Yeah that’s something at least. That was probably on my mind that whole winter, all of the stray animals that wouldn’t live because it was freezing out.
Cool.
In all honesty here… steamy romance novels kinda showed it already.
im happy tho.
shrug Why does everyone feel the need to use labels?
Why can’t a character or characters fall in love with each other or another without being labeled… who cares if they are straight or whatever or even canon or not… who really cares
just make the romance feel natural story telling and don’t just throw stuff in
Yeah, it’s not like they listen to feedback on Torghast timers and limited key runs. or the customization options. oh wait
For some people, having a label helps put into words what they are and can help validate them.
This is something you might commonly see among ace people, who upon finding out that there is a label for them feel overjoyed and not ‘broken’.
Right? Labels are for food, not people.
I think orcs are the only race that have escaped being in Marcus’ tell all romance books.
tbh being trans I always hated the label because it makes you (atleast for a while feel bad) until you learn to ignore it and go on with your life…
then again I’ve had so many put on me that it really does get upsetting
That’s entirely fair! Everyone feels differently about labels - for some, it’s constricting whereas for others it’s freeing.
" me not that type of orc "
might mean more then what we expected
Clearly he’s not a big enough man to tangle with an orc.
I mean, have you seen those muscles?
Crush me please I have absolutely no regrets.
That’s true. Although it depends on the individual. I remember reading about Pete Burns. He was an eccentric fellow (I sometimes play to some of the music that comes up in my playlist) and he was regarded in the media as this star gay icon. And he hated these labels. He didn’t even think of himself as any of these things, he just wanted to feel like these things just don’t matter enough to put a label on.
I can relate to that also. (I have my reasons but I rather not really talk about it) I guess it just depends on who you are and everything. But both are valid perspectives. There’s nothing inherently invalid about not wanting to be defined along a compartmental framework, and it’s also not inherently invalid to identify and appreciate that these things are normal enough to have their own name associated to it.
