Lights hammer does no healing for a talent and capped at 6? 1min cd? wtf?
How does consecration not heal allies by now?

Crusader’s strike is so ooming. Idk how some of y’all take Crusader’s might so you can cast it more lol.

I hate the glimmer build and refuse to play it.

In m+ I’m always capped on holy power due to DPS and no one needs healing a MAJORITY of the time. And when I do need to heal… somehow I dont have it.

Why doesn’t holy power idk maybe make you more powerful ie. more movement speed or increased healing or dps…

Holy Light is SOOOOO Long omfg… like so long. wtf.

Also hpals are the only healers without mana restoring CDs like maybe wisdom???

Conclusion: what is going on here

I’m really not a fan of the new Holy, it’s a mess. However, to make the best of a bad situation;

  • Glimmer build (CS, Sanctified Wrath, Glimmer) is pretty much mandatory. Going with a hard-cast HL build was a bit meh in BFA and the gimped Infusion of Light makes it feel terrible now.

  • Don’t try to save your Holy Power for the right moment. Spend it as it comes in. Word of Glory isn’t like Holy Priest’s Holy Words where you want to get maximum value, it’s just another healing spell in your rotation.

  • Consider Shield of the Righteous as a core spell for Holy; it deals great AOE damage. Got 4+ HP and no one needs healing? Hit that SotR.

  • Light of Dawn is garbage. My mix in M+ is probably 50% SotR, 45% WoG, and 5% “oops I hit the wrong button”.

  • Crusader Strike mana cost is godawful. Enjoy drinking between every pull and autoattacking on long boss fights. I don’t have a good answer for this.

If the above sounds bad… sorry, but I don’t see Holy Paladin getting much better for you in Shadowlands. Try a different healer. Sucks, but better to prepare for it now.

I’m freaking out a bit ngl. But I plan to stick with my h pally regardless. Yikes. Hopefully I will manage okay. Guess I’m a sucker lol. Been playing this char for over a decade, has had its ebbs and flows… but the feedback is really discouraging. Oh well, soldier on… for the horde and all that lol
