So during Vanillia, there were every type of resistance gear and aura save Holy because Holy is suppose to always hit or something like that… Yet since I have been leveling, I noticed a lot of my judgement (holy) are being resisted.
Did that came later or am I remembering things wrong?

A spell being resisted means it missed. It’s specific to spell hit, rather than raw hit and missing for physical attacks.

Probably because they never got around to making content where holy damage was a problem, so holy resistance never became a thing.
Idk about this holy is always supposed to hit/not be resisted claim though.
Doesn’t one of the 4 Horsemen have high holy resist?
No. There’s no holy resistance. Holy spells can still miss.
Holy damage intended to always hit a player would explain why there are no holy resistance items for players to use, but that wouldn’t necessarily hold true for the other direction (where players are never supposed to miss with holy damage).
Those are two different development intentions: holy damage should always hit a player, but players aren’t always guaranteed to land a spell even if it’s holy.
What you may be remembering as, “holy should never miss” could have been, “holy should never miss players”

I thought they classified Holy as Shadow since they’re pretty much the same thing.
Took this up in Kevins stream, holy cant / shouldent be resisted under any circumstances, since there is no holy resist school
This is the answer.
When a spell misses, you don’t get a message saying “miss”, instead you get “resisted”.
That’s just how it worked in Vanilla.
There IS a few ways to get Holy resistance, but they AFIK are available only through chugging potions/elixirs. They don’t actually provide resistance but instead absorb Holy Damage.
So, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if some NPCs have Holy Res built in.
I don’t remember ever seeing an at-level mob resisting holy.
Then you remember wrong sir. There is something like a 5% to miss a spell (any spell) against a same level target. This is overcome by talents for some classes, and +hit chance on gear. This is totally separate from actual spell resistance.
Holy Resistance
Definition:
A paladin who really wants to ret or tank.
every spell has a small chance to be resisted, or rather “miss”.

(not exactly the most reliable source, but the best I could find)
It is not possible to resist Holy magic, giving it a slight advantage over other schools, but it does have a basic miss chance like all spells, offset by Hit rating.
other schools of magic you can partially resist a spell, reducing the damage you take from it, but with holy it will either always do its full effect, or miss.

I merely said I don’t remember seeing it in Classic so far, not that it can’t or didn’t happen
If I haven’t seen it happen, I haven’t seen it happen.
I’m pretty sure most mobs have a fair amount of resist-all. That’s why spells resist so much.
There shouldent be, a holy spell can miss, but if it hits, there is no school to reists the spell with, you cant or shouldent resist a holy spell…
that you can under certain circumstances is a bug , that allways existed…
Example, if you cast a shadow spell, and it hits… you are then aplying all modifiers to the base resist, wich is 5, it can come from talents, gear, racials etc, and based on that, the effect of the spell either works or is resisted… in case of damage , the resist also works as a sort of armour, or mitigates the damage…
incase of holy, there is no base value since, there doesnt exist a base resit to aply any modifiers on, ergo, a holy spell or their effect cant or shouldent be resisted…
I even had a talk to Kevin about this in his stream
