why can they die and still heal?

It probably didnt die. They would of used spirit of redemption which makes them look like an angel. Once the buff expires they return to the map.
They cant heal themselves in this form and it doesn’t last long. Given they can heal friends easily one strategy is to stick on them and finish them off when they come out.

yea im just curious got stuck into a 1v1 against a rogue and he was 20% priest was dead and he ended up going to full because of it

He must of hit desperate prayer as it expired.
Flash heal also heals 20% of the caster perhaps that was the rest of his HP back.
Also he may have void swapped his life with his friend
because we are holy lol
