Yeah the voting is jacked because some are good for raid, some for pvp, some for m+, yet it’s all a single voting pool. If they’re trying to make it so dynamic let the vote be separate as well as the functionality. A bit complex but doable.
since i don’t raid and only do pvp/mythic+: i really love the s3 set. it totally changes the way i play which is so cool. but if i really had to choose, i vote for completely new set bonuses tbh.
If you run Miracle Worker build you have 4 serenities you can cast on the go with the tier bonus stacked. It doesn’t make holy priest mobile but it for sure helps a lot. I didn’t do much raiding this season, but on m+ it helps a lot
I enjoyed the PoM style as well. S3 set bonus just never proc for me, well, not never, but not enough to find it valuable. I also HATE casting FH FH FH.
When I play my druid, I feel like I have a plethora of spells to cast that are useful and helpful. On holy I cast FH, Serenity Sanc, and Pom and maybe dispel. Can we make renew, prayer of healing, heal, and the rest of our kit useful again? I’m so tired of Flash Heal spam. FH spam is 75 % of my cast and doesn’t even do 25% of my healing. #sooverholy #pleasefixourclass
Circle star/halo renew 2 raid heals, smite/chastise on low heal req times to get procs, empowered holy nova is nothing to scoff at, Power word life, Renew on the move, option for prayer of heal during short apoth or after circle if specced with reduction and renew, not to mention our utilities guardian spirit/symbol/feathers/life grip/fade.
Just checked logs of myself and our Druid healer.
I use more a couple heal buttons than they do, many more overall buttons than they do, and most of their casts is rejuv. To me it looks like we’re far more versatile for picking the ideal heal for each situation!
If you’re not seeing a proc every ~20 seconds and you don’t have a Holy Word Renew out… an option is to toss out a couple of ‘actual’ Renews… the procs should be relatively reliable.
It has a fixed proc rate. As long as you have renews up, you’ll get the procs to use.
It procs every 20-22s on average and it triggers when Renew falls off, not when it ticks.
ugh, actual braindead results. this just ruined S4. hate how content creators influenced these votes as much as they did.
That doesn’t sound right, and I just tested it in game too, it was definitely proccing off any renew tick, not just when it falls off.
I’ll add some clarification as I typed above in haste. The set prioritizes the last <3s or so of Renew because about 90% of the time it’ll trigger when Renew is about to fall off or has. The reason its like that is to try and guarantee you a consistent proc chance every 20s with the internal cooldown.
If it didn’t then it’d be entirely RNG with the proc rate at times.
Ah I see, it definitely feels like it procs more often towards the tail end of Renew rather than at the start; I was testing it at that time by just spamming Renew on myself and refreshing it to full duration.
I definitely think S2 or even S1 was the right pick here to get a boost to our base kit, but the people have spoken. Understandably, S3 set is easier to take advantage of for most players IMO, and it feels the strongest, so I fully expected it to win, but S2 came quite close.
At least we get more armor set colors!
My theory is that the proc rate ramps up higher the lower the duration of Renew. It starts at 5% chance and probably goes all the way up to 50% once the ICD is up and Renew is <3.
If it was just a flat 5-10% chance a Renew tick you could in theory go 30s+ without a single tier set proc. On the PTR the tier set barely procced in single target healing situations like M+ and this was changed to what we have now.
I often sit on my Holy Words because I know in my head when the next proc is going to trigger so I’m not dumping my last charge of Sanctify / Serenity and spending the next 8s recharging it. I’ll wait 3-5s for the tier set to proc then cast the Holy Word I want.
As far as I know, there is absolutely nothing released by Blizzard to indicate that there are more armor set colors/recolors coming in S4/fated. I wouldn’t count on it.
It looks like rppm with an ICD to prevent excessive procs.
Agreed to the extent that s3 set had for sure helped me in m+ I still don’t really
Like it tho but raid is def s2 the go to for strongest healing
Ye it was a change up a bit in play style
