Holy Priest PVP 2v2?

Hello,

I’ve been playing Shadow for a bit now and was thinking about switching to a healing spec either holy or disc. I want to ask how holy is specifically in 2v2s? I could always go disc looks very complicated to play and I’m looking for a more straight forward easier healing spec to play.

I was going to level another class but I don’t feel like putting the effort in leveling another toon at this time since my priest has some decent gear already it can use for the time being.

Holy it’s really strong right now.
Both Disc and Holy are really strong.

Holy has more cc because of Censure but Disc has overall better defensives and extra damage due to Dark Archangel talent but has heavy mana issues.

So play what you like the most I had fun playing both specs and as I said both are like A+ tier.

I love holy priest in 2s. It’s very strong ATM as Amantha pointed out.

  1. Spec into Greater Fade (pvp talent), use it to get out of enemy burst, a good way to dodge CC, and a safe way to run in and fear.

  2. Holy also has access to Holy Word: Chastise which can be changed to a stun (depending on your 2s partner). This, along with Greater Fade is IMO what makes Holy so good compared to disc ATM. The ability to instantly ranged stun a convoke, combust etc is very good…

  3. If you’re going against double melee (turbo), spec into Divine Ascension (pvp talent). You literally fly up in the air and you can cast holy spells. This is another way to avoid enemy damage. Range can still hit you.

  4. Use Miracle Worker (pvp talent) so you have access to your strongest heal on a 2 charge.

  5. Once you’re more comfortable, spec into Cardinal Mending (pvp talent) instead of Divine Ascension. This is very strong and it ignores healing reduction too!

  6. As for legendaries, I recommend 2:

  • Harmonious Apparatus: This will help get your holy word serenity and holy word chastise back sooner, which is very strong.
  • X’anshi, Return of Archbishop Benedictus: (A FREE ARENA REZ) If you find that you’re the kill target and are struggling to survive, use this.

Holy is top tier in 2’s, you’re best comps are hunter priest and mage priest. Assa priest is decent too when I played with nessper.
Do not run divine ascension just go greater fade, double serenity, and cardinal pretty much every game. you can drop cardinal for holy ward against rm.
Harmonious is the best lego for holy and stat prio is vers/haste>=mast. I like haste more.
