(holy) Priest Arena enchant - does offhand also proc things like sophic devotion?

I noticed most arena holy priests just use the staff, however, I like the stats of the mainhand + offhand since this option actually has mastery in it. However, when it comes time to enchant both mainhand and offhand, I have a question about caster proc mechanics.

With Melee it’s obvious that as your swinging and using both weapons, the offhand will have a chance to proc its own enchant. With casting, how the hell does this work? I’m never swinging it for melee. Do I just need enchants on mainhand? Can I put sophic on mainhand and wafting on offhand and see them both proc equally? How does casting enchant procs work for use with mainhand + offhand?

i don’t think you can put weapon enchants on an offhand

in past expansions the offhand has had its own minor enchant at most

My rogue has sophic devotion on both mainhand and offhand and they both proc. now that Im a caster with both a mainhand and offhand, can it proc on both just like all melee classes

You cannot enchant off hand non weapons.

offhand isn’t a blanket term

think of the int offhand more like a shield
neither of them can be enchanted

it’s not the same as being a dual wield spec utilizing 2 weapons (neither are considered "offhand"s) which both can be enchanted
