Holy Paladins should have 15 yard interrupt they had for all of shadowlands and first half of dragonflight back

Any range that is not 0 is an improvement. 15 is what it was originally but 10, 5, and 3 yards are all better than 0

Today i have more carefully worded that i am talking about HOLY PALADIN spec not prot or ret as many below have been quick to insert snark.

ive been disappointed with the mplus season this tier. im building characters to full 639 for no reason.

my raid team curbstomps the first 4 mythic bosses in 1 hour no vantus to be gatekept by a boss that just requires 20 people to have 2 weakauras and a bunch of lines of text in method raid tools but getting 20 people to take the game seriously is apparently a big challenge when they arent raking in youtube or twitch ad revenue.

For someone called ‘Diehard’ you’re pretty easy to kill if not having a ranged interrupt is your Achilles heel.

it’s about enjoying the time i am spending on the game more than having the most overpowered class and playing something that was well thought out and balanced.

the 8th and 9th rows of the paladin class tree are all fluff and have little to no impact on gameplay relative to having a beefy amount of haste.

That’s not really an interrupt. Stuns do stop casting, but it’s not an interrupt, which can be used on stun-immune enemies.

That said, I don’t see any spec of Paladin getting an actual ranged interrupt at any time in the future, so don’t hold your breath.

Avenger’s Shield

Holy in A-tier and Ret and Prot both S-tier. Paladin is objectively the best class of season 1. What are you on about?

You’re not going to get one. Paladins have many ways of closing the gaps to use a close quarters interupt. Class balance also includes some draw backs and skill requirements.

In addition to Avenger’s Shield? No.

And, no, I do not count my statement as saying “one doesn’t exist in Avenger’s shield already”, but rather that in “getting” one, a new one would be added.

Not to be that “guy” but I doubt anyone will notice one less paladin out there, considering if you throw a rock it will hit about a dozen of them before the ground :slight_smile:

We’ve been spoiled for a long time with Divine Toll.

I miss is too, but we got a big toolbox already I feel.

Sub runs out in march. If paladins do not have a ranged interupt by that time, i do not think i will renew it

The two big problems we always hear about concerning paladins have to do with balance. They are:

  1. Paladins are too Over powered
  2. Paladins lack features making them too weak.

Just about everyone agrees with one of these points. So why can’t the “devs” do anything about it?

A ranged interrupt for paladins would be a bit much. Prot already has Avenger’s Shield.

i want to be able to hit the mob i want to hit and interrupt the mob i want to interrupt. we used to be able to do it.

and to be fully transparent i kinda want them to ignore me so i can spend more time at the gym but i can resub for the glorious ranged interrupts again. even if its a talent. to replace any of the worthless ones in the 8th and 9th rows currently.

nerfing our interrupt in the first place was when we were overpowered at some point in dragonflight. things have since gone downhill for holy paladin and the game was made more challenging for healers and tanks but holy paladins didnt really get much upside this tier. just additional limitations.we got hots on our crits but we need to spec super heavy haste. come tier 2 we will naturally be a bit stronger being able to have more of both. but i still want a ranged interupt.

its a melee class and youre asking us to have to run around like mad men to interrupt while also keeping a group topped. what if my prio target is 10 feet away from my interrupt target? im supposed to stop hitting crusader strike to refresh shock and have another word of glory to keep the group alive and miraculously teleport to the interrupt mob. sorry but paladins dont have a teleport.

im not being greedy here. im making logical points.

Also why isn’t bubble on a 10 second cooldown?

In fact let’s have consecrate silence anything in it and have it move with the paladin.

Also why only one raid buff? Need one for each spec.
