I told ya’ll to roll Priests! I knew they’d start kicking Hpallies from guilds. When every other person is a Holy Paladin, what do you expect?

Who is kicking Holy Paladins from raids? Where are all these Holy Paladins you are speaking of? I don’t think I’ve had a single heroic that wasn’t Disc Priest/Holy Priest/Resto Shaman.
I’m actually curious about my first sentence though. Where is this kicking happening or is this is a “it happened to this one guy, in his guild, now every Holy Paladin is going to be kicked, believe me!”

I can only assume you’ve seen a lot of non-paladin healers because most 5-man groups will purposely exclude Holy Pallies and intentionally do not invite them.
I lost track of how many dungeon groups ive joined where i was thanked for not being pink.
Well, I only form my only groups with Prot/Ret and I still just don’t even see them queue up in the list, so that’s the only defense I have for why I haven’t seen them in a group.

1 personal experience = everywhere is the same. Awesome logic op no wonder intelligence is on the decline in the west.
I just think it’s some bs post. I highly doubt this guy has been thanked so many times for not being a holy paladin that he’s lost track. It doesn’t even make sense.
I don’t even look at what the healer is when I invite them honestly.

I played an original HPally back in classic and just respecc’d back into Holy as I hit 80. I haven’t done any dungeons yet.
Where is this most. I’ve gotten instant invites just because I’m a holy pally due to how strong of a healer they are lol.

Im not saying they’re bad. In fact, they’re great. The current issue is everyone is a holy paladin, so they’ve become overcrowded. Guilds arent kicking them because they’re “bad”, they’re kicking them because they already have a boatload of them and are realizing don’t need more. In fact, what they need are priests and shamans!
When you join a 5 man dungeon group with a Prot Paladin tank and 2 Ret Paladin dps… trust me its a breath of fresh air for them to see a Priest and Priest buffs. A 5 man group of 5 paladins just just… lame… and that’s essentially classic wotlk in a nutshell at the moment.
That said, Priests are very welcoming, and we will accept the mass of paladin rerolls into our ranks!
This has nothing to do with holy plds though. It’s plate classes they are trying to avoid so tanks don’t lose pre raid gear. Holy pld is fine for 5 man healing.
Aren’t there like 2 priests per raid max?
Hpala wears plate, and many of those Prot and Rets you see in dungeons are absolutely collecting the healing plate for their offspecs. Like i said, everyone is a holy paladin… even prots and rets are holy paladins as their side hustle.
Also, after 3 Paladins its really overkill. You have all the buffs, you dont need more paladin buffs for your 5 man group. What you need are the rare priest buffs or shaman totems. People will LOVE you for not being a hpal, trust me on this. You will likely get guild invites just for being a priest.
This seems pretty anecdotal. Nobody is kicking hpallies lol
