Please remove SotR as Holy Paladin damage spender please.
There are numerous 2hd int weapons dropping and they’re a great option except for not having a spender.
Bring back Exorcism as a spender for holy. Ranged, instant cast, and lets us utilize 2hd.
Also, bake in the armor bonus Hand of Tyr gave in Legion when using a 2hd as holy.
Thank you

I wish they would make Light of Dawn worth pressing, like buff the healing and make it do damage to enemies too.

Instead of removing it, why not just remove the shield requirements? Have an animation for the shield as Holy energy.

Literally been saying this for years! 100% agree

I get what you’re saying, but it is kind of boring. Ret gets cool holy power spenders with cool animations, Divine Storm and Templar’s Verdict. Prot has SotR, and holy does too. It would just be cool if Holy had a spender animation unique to them as well.
I just meant remove the requirement for the 1h and shield on those abilities/talents, but keep the abilities/talents. Because there are good weapons that are 2h for Holy to use. I don’t know what you mean with spender animation.
The animation is just boring. Like pressing the button isn’t fun or thematic to Holy Paladin imho, and you can’t even use the button without a shield equipped, despite there being animation for it using 2 handed weapons. Removing the shield requirement is fine, but it still looks lame compared to Ret Pallies. Light of Dawn on the other hand looks thematic to Holy. Stretching out your hand and healing your allies in a wave of Light. They just have to go the extra step and make it damage enemies too.
Ah, I see. I got ya now. I think I need my coffee. lol
Yeah, I agree.

I like the Light of Dawn suggestion best and also think they should remove the LoD range talent and restore it to 40 yards baseline.
Another option already exists but they made it a PvP talent. Denounce is already in the game. Already is a SotR replacement, but it’s a PvP talent (they could make it baseline and just make the crit debuff the PvP talent).
I’d prefer LoD doing damage since it would fit the holy theme better, is instant cast and would save a key binding by making it the AoE heal + damage combo.

All good. I’m kind of going off topic anyway lol. I like Holy Pally, it is my fave healer in the game but I’ve long wanted more in the “cool” department.

Now that I think of it they should actually do both things. Replace SotR with denounce baseline and make that the single target damage hopo spender AND add damage to LoD as the AoE hopo spender.

Sorry, I was going to get to that but the cat knocked over a flower pot and there was broken glass everywhere. Then when I got that done it was time for supper.
I’ll try to get to it when I can.
I’d be okay with this. I get super jealous of Ret Paladins when I see their big swirls of hammers and huge crushing Templar’s Verdicts. Meanwhile I’m here punching stuff with my shield with a little light shield coming out that is barely noticeable in pulls.

I like that denounce can replace it but I hate denounce. I do not, DO NOT want to have a cast time on our holy power spender. As a healer we know it won’t be earth shattering strong, but couple with a cast time in PvE…what would be the point.
Yea I’d also prefer it be instant cast like exorcism was. A cast time would feel awkward in the rotation especially for the specs that mostly use instant casts currently. When denounce was added as a spammable spell it had a cast time but I don’t think it really needs one as a hopo spender, not sure why the PvP talent currently has one.
Probably because of the debuff it provides.
I’d just like an instant, not useless, quality ranged holy power spender for holy paladin. And the ability to use a 2hd weapon without sacrificing the armor like we did in legion.

Another big reason they should have changed this already is you can have a 675 2h int weapon crafted with only 60 gilded crests, but if you want 1h+shield it takes 120 crests.
A lot of shaman will become staff shaman to save crests without much downside.
Paladins have to give up the ability to spend hopo on damage at all to do the same.
