Just a few rune ideas for Holy Paladin runes:

% of overhealing turns into an absorb shield on the target

% of overhealing turns into a splash AOE heal

Beacon of Light duplicates all spells (not just healing based - would duplicate sacred shield, blessing of freedom, blessing of protection, etc.)

Healing with holy shock reduces its CD by 20 seconds and increases the next holy shock healing value by XXX amount

Blessing of magic protection - BOP but for magic damage
-
Cleansing a debuff gives the target XXX% resist to cleansed debuff type for X seconds
Thoughts on these for pve/pvp? Any other rune ideas for Holy Paladins?
i have a thought. just give us actual runes we can use lol.

This is unironically the answer right here.
So many useless runes and the ones we CAN use force us into playing shockadin no matter what role you wanna play. They literally spent no time at all on these runes, just ported abilities from other expansions and buffed a meme spec a whole bunch.
not to mention the ported them and nerfed them to the ground making them unusable. like divine sac. why would i use that when raid is taking big aoe and i can’t pop it and bubble like wrath. so when i pop it i risk dieing cause my hp bar starts geting chunked hard.
This isn’t a problem since.
Damage which reduces the Paladin below 20% health will break the effect and grant the paladin 10% increased damage and healing done for 10 sec.
But it basically implies that any damage that exceeds 80% of your health will simply not be absorbed by the effect at all, it would also leave you at 20% health which is a dangerous place to be if you say used it right before a massive AoE or if the boss spams an ability you’re trying to mitigate. Having bubble would mean you could continue to absorb 30% damage for everyone for the entire 10 seconds which they considered to be too OP to have in Classic.
well lets go over priest and druid runes before we call a mitigation rune op. all im saying is why rip a skill off wrath and make it half the skill it was and call it a day. 30% of incoming dmg mitigated by bubble would actually make hpal viable in pvp cause if you pop that with anyone taking dmg your getting deleted off the face of azeroth.

They didn’t wanna make something new, and they also didn’t wanna deal with the backlash from the opposing faction asking for Shamans to have Divine Sac too.
well atleast shamans are getting riptide we get um oh nothing new really. maybe some crit o maybe a holy light reduction ill never take cause crit is better. stale so stale 
NGL they should just make Holy Shock a 6 second CD by default.
They did it for Stormstrike. They want Shockadin to be a build for some wild reason, make it a build.
