I just wanted to submit a suggestion for Rebuke to be allowed for Holy Paladins. Questing as a Holy Paladin is extremely fun, but every now and then you fight a mob that casts something you just need to avoid, (which is something all classes have to deal with) and it can be extremely annoying to be fighting a mob without the ability to interrupt.
I find it odd that we haven’t been able to use Rebuke yet, seeing as we’re in melee range. Has there been any reason given for this restriction? Just curious. And thank you.
We did have Rebuke as holy at one point, still melee range, so there was a degree of risk vs reward. But I suppose Blizzard decided only Restoration Shamans could be the only healers with a true interrupt in windshear.
You know when you buy a gift for a little kid or your pet, but they seem to like the box it came in way more? The wow devs right now are like that watching Holy Paladin players. They never wanted any healer to be this melee heavy, but because they struggled/messed up tuning towards the later half of beta, they left holy in this strange state as it went live. So the reason they don’t give rebuke and other things to even further incentivize melee gameplay is because they never intended it to go this far.
I kind of hope you’re right about that; I’d like to see Holy Radiance, Rebuke, and Denounce make comebacks. (Preferably without losing Consecration, or at least not being in a position where we have no AoE damage tools with short/no cooldowns.)
If Blizzard never wanted us to be melee healers, then at least Denounce and Holy Radiance might make a comeback. If not…well…
