Holy macros?

Just curious if there are any macros to help reduce the amount of space taken up on my spellbars. Level 31 and it is like the only class where I need 3 spell bars instead of 2.
So just wondering if there are any macros that can help reduce the clutter.

Tons of Macros for Holy. Help/Harm macros such as using Renew on allies and Shadow Word Pain on enemies; Smite on enemies and Flash Heal on allies. Then you can use shift modifiers for making things like Flash Heal on keybind and Heal if you hold shift with the same keybind. The built in click casting settings are useful, I have three things bound to my middle mouse button using the shift and alt modifiers. Scroll wheel up and down I’ve found extremely useful for Prayer of Mending and Circle of Healing. You can even use the shift modifier along with the help harm macro for having a single button so Flash Heal, Heal, Holy Fire, and Smite. However, as Holy, I do not personally use help harm macros.

Most of my gameplay interactions work through the party or raid frames. Almost every one of my keyboard buttons has shift modifiers. Like guardian spirit and power infusion, power word life and dispel, Holy Word Sanctify is on a mouse button with a shift mod for Mass Dispel (since they’re both ground targeted.

Unfortunately I’m not at my computer so I can’t give you exact examples but you can cut and paste examples and just change the spell names to suit your needs.

I use three action bars with about one and a half dedicated to actual spells. The bottom one is all bound and then I’ve got probably four of the next one bound. Everything to the right of that is my power word fortitude and mounts and res. My third action bar is actually repeating spells that are already bound just so that I can keep an eye on their cooldowns followed by some food and potions and stuff.

Look up help/harm macros (especially if you’re doing solo content as a Holy priest), make extremely liberal use of the shift modifier to cut your number of keybinds and action bar space in half, and utilize the click casting to save another couple of buttons.

FWIW, everything I have is done with Q E R T 1 2 3 Z X F and G on the keyboard and then mousewheel and two side mouse buttons. I thought I used C for something but I can’t think of what it is at the moment.

Also realize that there are a few spells you probably don’t even need on your bars, and if you need to you can use those action bars on the far left and far right for things like resurrection, fortitude, and levitate. At the moment, Prayer of Healing doesn’t need to be on bars. If you’re not running Lightweaver you don’t need Heal on your bars. If you’re not raiding, Prayer of Mending probably doesn’t need to be on your bars.

There’s a few defensive abilities that are not on the global cooldown and I have them all bound to X. Healthstones, Fade, Desperate Prayer, Shield. I forgot what else. You can include everything not on the GCD and a single spell that is on the GCD to a single defensive button and I’ve found that extremely useful. Wish I had that one to share with you, it was tricky to get all the spells in the correct order, gotta go lowest cooldown to highest or it can hang up and not be useful. I’ve got about five different things all bound to just pressing X.

If I remember to come back to this tomorrow I’ll share what I have. If I don’t and someone else doesn’t chime in you can message Efi-Kel’Thuzad in game and I’ll send them.

/cast [@mouseover,help,mod:shift] Heal; [@mouseover,harm,mod:shift] Holy Fire; [@mouseover,help] Flash Heal; [@mouseover,harm] Smite; [help, mod:shift] Heal; [harm, mod:shift] Holy Fire; [help] Flash Heal; [harm] Smite; Flash Heal

I think that’s how it would basically go for a four in one. You’re gonna want an extra copy of Holy Fire up somewhere on a bar still so you can see when the cooldown is ready without having to hold down shift and mouseover an enemy just to be able to look at the timer on that macro.

Typical one without the help harm, if I’m remembering the format correctly…

/cast [@mouseover,mod:shift] Heal; [@mouseover,mod:alt] Prayer of Healing; [@mouseover] Flash Heal; [mod:shift] Heal; [mod:alt] Prayer of Healing; Flash Heal; Flash Heal

The AoE I use for my mouse button is
/cast [mod:shift] Mass Disspell; Holy Word: Sanctify

Again, not at the computer and don’t fully remember the correct formats.

I think on the defensive macro it’s /use instead of /cast. Trinkets are in slots 13 and 14. “/use 14” would use the trinket in the bottom slot.

I think, I think the macro would go something like

/target YOURPLAYERNAME
/use Healthstone OR POTION
/use Power Word: Shield
/use Fade
/use Guardian Spirit
/use Desperate Prayer
/use 14
/target @lasttarget

Sorry, I don’t really remember that one well enough. In this case there’s no conditionals and it will just work itself from top to bottom until something can’t be done or casted. But that alone gets rid of at least two more buttons. If you’re popping a health potion you probably also want to be using Fade and Desperate Prayer if it’s up.

You can mix it up slightly too, like ensuring that you’re never not casting Power Infusion not on somebody…

/cast [@mouseover,mod:shift] Power Infusion; [@mouseover] Guardian Spirit; Holy Nova; Holy Nova

In that previous case, if you didn’t have your cursor over somebody in the raid frames or the playfield, Holy Nova would be cast instead of causing a self-only Power Infusion or accidently casting Guardian Spirit on your current target instead of the person you’re trying to mouseover, unless your cursor was on yourself.

Lastly, this comment has been waaaay too long, you can use castsequence for simple damage rotations. You’d have to determine the rotation you wanted and adjust the list accordingly.

/castsequence reset=10 Shadow Word: Pain, Holy Word: Chastise, Holy Fire, Holy Fire, Holy Fire, Holy Nova, Smite, Smite, Smite, Smite

Find a rotation using a target dummy given your current build and amount of Haste and you can have a simple single button for your damage. Useful as Holy since you’re never really trying to optimize your damage, it’s usually just for open world stuff.
