Like shadow damage weapons, it would be nice for pallies if we had holy damage weapons, just like for mages with there arcane wands (for healing), it would help us hold threat or do just that little more dps with seal of the crusader
Then their full damage would all bypass armor with those weapons.
There is a reason why it’s not common… there is no holy resistance stat in the game.
But they do exist, the Mantle of the Second War is an example.
Maybe the header was misleading but I was talking mainly about weapons and yes it would bypass armor but holy damage is not much more then a bleed, and in many cases isn’t even as much as a bleed (or poison or a dot) and in the case of dot, the best you can hope for is partial resist especially with shadow damage.
Pallies need a little more threat and I don’t think tweaking abilities or runes (aside from exorcism, it’s damage needs buffed bad) is the issue I think adding something new is where it would best fit. Similar to what there doing with the crowd pummeler
That is a good point about the shoulders, but we need our armor to have stats and defense too, seems more like a ret item then tank
Also, side note: Holy damage increases like the example you gave of the shoulders, does not increase all holy damage. One example of this is Retribution Aura. It’s 5 damage even with ‘seal of the crusader’ on the target and the shoulders that give +11 on… this is broken and needs fixed
