Holly Longdale addresses lack of communication in Twitter

nobody bothers reading anything they put up there, unless it’s to complain about maintenance. why should they use it?

Exactly what are they going to say if they don’t have a set of changes they want to introduce? They’ve announced they’re not announcing pirate launch day. It’s one thing to say you are changing how you act or announce something new is happening, it’s another to do it, and people like Holly Longdale manage quite a few teams.

Curse of being a leader; sometimes your job is to keep your mouth shut when you have nothing to say.

I get not allowing datamining for a patch. But there has not been anything from Blizzard. No information at all. Not even teases or allusions as to what could be coming. It is the most bizarre type of promotion ever and will probably cause things to fall flat.

They already said it was all the Dragonflight Dungeons and Raids. I expect it will be a 10 dungeon season again to include both DOTI as well. They did Tazavesh two seasons in a row for Shadowlands, so I wouldn’t be surprised for the same with DOTI.

The 2024 Roadmap Post says:

" In modern World of Warcraft , you’re going to see three more content updates for Dragonflight arriving before World of Warcraft: The War Within releases next year. In these updates, we’ll be wrapping up the story for this expansion and laying the foundation for our next one. Dragonflight Season 4 will revisit Dragonflight’s dungeons and raids, along with outdoor content, featuring updated rewards, and a few new twists."

So we know it’s all the DF Dungeons and Raids, we know the Dinar system is making a return for Season 4. What we don’t know is if the raids will have affixes, and if they will rotate weekly again. As the message says “and a few new twists.”

Probably after whatever e-sport event going on right now is over.

So i skipped SL s4, but thats where Dinars came from right? Ive seen this mentioned a few times. What are they and how do they work?

The Dinar System was 3 quests.

Each quest rewards 1 Dinar, which could then be used to buy any raid piece from any of the 3 raids, except for Sylvanas’ Bow. I believe at normal or heroic ilvls? I can’t remember. This might be different this time around since we have the upgrade system.

The first quest required 30 boss kills, so had to clear each raid once as Fated. The second required 15 boss kills, so another two weeks, and the final I think only required 5? This was for each character.

It was a nice system, I used it to get some mogs I really wanted instead of farming BiS

They can hide whatever is happening in 10.2.6 but still balance pvp and give some MAJOR bug fixes to a ton of stuff in retail. But hey, let’s keep talking about secrets.

Is it the same as SL and are wasting our time or are there drastic changes so they can try new and interesting things?

No one knows. Anyone thinking it’s a retread is guessing. Could it be a retread? Yeah. Could it be different? Yeah. Could they be answering these questions? Yeah.

They probably will be answered pretty soon. We know 10.2.6 drops sometime this month. So information will likely start flowing in.

I love this. I do.

Someone (no idea who) addresses a lack of communication through another media source. I get it. I get it.

But there is still funny irony in: she left her own “house” to discuss why that “house” has gotten no communication.

It’s funny.

I would eat raw slugs before I’d follow a Twitter link.

Non-commication is the problem, unless there’s communication, in which case communication then becomes the problem.

How long till WoW players realize that they’re the problem?

The problem with 10.2.6 being kept a secret is I have no idea if I should re-sub for it or wait and see how Fated goes. I’m pretty much done with SoD atm. Sub runs out in 3 days. So probably gonna take a break, play some Last Epoch and see how this all shakes out.

Introspection isn’t our strong suit here on GD.

Well Season 4 won’t be until late April or early May, so I think taking the time off until that launch is for the best.

I am with everyone else tho, why not talk about whats after 10.2.6, such as Season 4 or 10.2.7 while we wait for the utter disappointment that will likely be 10.2.6.

Please have 10.2.6 be pirates coming to fix all the errors brought by the new UI. Blizz has seemingly ignored those all expansion…

You guys are the type to skip to the end of a mystery to find out who did it before watching/reading the story aren’t you

I’ve never really been interested in the PTR or datamining (why would I want to do it, get nothing, and then have to do it again?) but a more concrete date/timeframe would be nice.

With stuff like this when they say “March” or just give a vague month, I’m inclined to think the worst and expect it to be like. The 29th-31st type of deal because of how many times that’s happened in the past. (Not just WoW, in general)

Never.

And so close too. So close. We’ve figured out everyone else is the problem. But we’re stuck on seeing we are too. So close. So far.
