The combination of having low physical defense and low mobility means that dk will get easily run down by dh, warr, hunter, ww, rogue, and feral druid for another expansion.

Dks keep getting their physical defense gutted because their magic defense is way too good. These polarizing matchups are exactly the reason why people complain about dk and these nerfs make that issue even worse.

Abomb limb nerf is completely tone deaf. The issues people had with abomb limb in shadowlands was it doing almost half our damage in a go. Now abomb limb is a 2 min pure dps cooldown. Like where are you getting these ideas? Personally, if you did have to nerf the ability in pvp, I wouldve rather you remove the damage portion of the ability completely and keep the grips because thats literally the whole reason people fell in love with ability in the first place.

If by fell in love you mean made people uninstall. Sorry these toxic abilities ruin the game and the Devs finally see it. More CC needs to be removed from other Classes that really muck up fun exciting PvP.

A lot of that has to do with how inconsequential armor classes are these days. There once was a time where plate armor actually meant you actually were tankier, and leather armor was squishy. Most of DKs natural defense for the longest time was IBF, self healing, and plate armor.

With 90% of damage ignoring armor these days its felt more when you lose the self healing. Its silly that the tankiest classes right now are in cloth (warlock) and plate/mail are squishier targets.

I preferred when melee were actually kitable, but when they actually did catch up it was painful. In LK classic the ranged top priority is to get out of melee range, not rotate different spell classes while tanking blows, because in LK classic armor classes matter and you can get blown up quickly taking big melee hits as a cloth wearer. On the same token back in LK it was possible to actually kite melee for a reason amount of time, which has been increasingly less possible with how nutty WW and Havoc are.

Heck one of the cool things about mind freeze was that it was a ranged interrupt on a melee class. Now the highest mobility class in the game has one too.

Basically I think DKs wouldnt feel so squishy without having absurd self healing if plate armor and cloth armor actually had a real difference these days. The self healing meta is amplified by armor not mattering, therefore making melee uptime so acceptable for what should be the squishy classes

I fully agree shadowlands abom was dumb. It was not fun to play with or against because it did too much damage. My point is that it was liked by dks because of the utility, not the damage.

If the utility portion was what was hated then by the same principle spear of bastion, electric field totem, ice wall, vortex, would also be nerfed, but theyre not.

Vortex only grips you 1 time. Abom, Spear and Electric Field are the outliers. Electric has counter play though you can stomp the totem and get out. While I think it should function like Vortex at least it’s not as bad.

These jarring toxic atrocious CC’s really shouldn’t of been put into the game. It’s too much and creates an awful experience for the players. I’ve been calling for Spear to be removed since day 1. I main a warrior and refuse to use it. I will not take part in toxic design.

necropolis should be gutted in the class tree, putting tank stuff there causes these issues. but do that FIRST before actually destroying everything. hold off on the ams and death strike changes

dk talent trees have some of the worst final capstone choices in the game, maybe because it was one of the first made who knows. we have the fewest as well as some of the least interesting final talent choices. we are one of maybe 3 classes that didnt get to keep unity. nerfing limb just leaves us with what, having to use points in soul reaper (dead) or extra points to get double grip which feels awful

I thought dk was going to be enjoyable given that it was sub-meta all of Shadowlands.

Going into a new expansion - its going to be even worse than the last one! Just reroll dh

every1 complaining about dks are the ppl that only do random bgs.

of course death strike is going to heal a lot when you have 5 ppl on you taking 400k dmg in 5s.

arena scenario is totally different.
