The problem is that Blizzard can’t balance arena and battlegrounds. Survivability was too strong in arena with a healer backing it up, but front line melee needs survivability for battlegrounds and these nerfs slam DK pretty hard in any kind of competitive BGs.
I guess UHDK can always play like a hybrid ranged class. Frost is kind of screwed.
Id be OK with these changes if they gave buffs and made a separate identity for Frost…
UH is the anticaster, has a pet, and is niche with these things…
Frost…should hit SUPER hard. NOT be a setup bot…because now we are a glass cannon…
Chains of Ice shouldn’t be a defensive spell only…It should strike fear into the hearts of opponents because they desperately want to get away from us, but are slowed…
Maybe give us an “ice slide” (aka icey flying dragon kick) to close or get away on a 45? sec cooldown? Something to make us scary. I resent being a set up bot for other classes, wearing plate, being slow, and being shredded like paper, and offering no pressure outside of long cooldowns…

2v2 is basically UHs gatekeeping casters/healers…is that really fun?
Frost needs a rebranding…we dont have the tools UH does, now we dont have healing, survivability, both physical and magic…

Now if they can just put Spear of Bastion in the gutter with Abom limb that would be great. Wish these abilities were never created but at least fix them. Nothing should grip you more than 1 time.
So the Devs say this: Additionally, the multiple grips from Abomination Limb created scenarios of unfun gameplay with minimal counterplay in PvP. We’re changing this talent to be able to pull in a unique player in once per talent usage.
This is a massive issue. That’s a completely subjective statement. Nothing about losing is fun. Whether that’s getting facerolled by DH, dampened/rotted by splay or getting abomb limbed. Let alone the literal 15+ years of RMP.
What someone finds “unfun” is completely irrelevant. This is how we get homogenous class design/gameplay.
No it’s not. Getting multi gripped by Abomlimb makes you want to uninstall everytime. It shouldn’t exist and is unhealthy for the game. Same with Spear and this toxic CC they implemented the last few expansions. Get it outta here so PvP can be fun and healthy. This isn’t an opinion but objective truth.
Yes we as plate will run from our targets like we have been having to for past years now even when our class is a melee class. Perfect example to show how much blizz really appreciates it’s valued players who main dk’s.
It was fun but solo tanking five people in bgs off deathstrikes was a bit absurd. Still DH feels the same as Unholy DK to me yet twice as brainless and the tankiness is passive while dks just spammed deathstrike in exchange for RP.
They’re super optimistic that the 30% will change something. I’m 99% sure one of them plays rogue. We know holinka does after that time he posted his rbg thing.
I think we all knew will of necroplis was kinda busted, Deathstrike has been reduced before so its not surprising it happened again. But the nerfs to the supporting talents seem excessive. I agree abom limb is frustrating to play against and over-all probably not healthy. Abom limb does seem like a useless end cap now though I doubt it’ll see much play but we will see I guess. I do hope spear gets this treatment to just to keep it consistent.
I think this would have been received better if there was some actual DH nerfs on there as well.
We press on! Unholy still gained more than it lost. Will was toxic ds and ams nerfs kinda weird but might make sense with the 40% health buff and dh/warlock catching damage nerfs.
