Holiday Drops Changes - Were these implemented for Hallow's end?

Updated Loot System

We’re changing the way the loot system for the holiday boss drops work. We have increased drop rates significantly for the first boss kill on a single account. Only the first attempt on a single Battle.net account will be eligible to receive the item drop, however. For each subsequent daily attempt on the boss with a single Battle.net account, the chance for the item to drop will increase and continues to accumulate for each failed attempt. This change will allow players to spend less time working to earn a specific dropped item while providing an increasing opportunity to get that item during the holiday.

It seems like a lot of players are confuse with the loot system for hallow’s end, the boss drops an epic loot box for each attempt and players keep doing as many alts as possible.

Can we’ve a confirmation that this was implemented?

Can Blizzard change the visual box to a rare one once you’ve done your single account attempt?

Or clarify that this was only for fire festival event…

Puts away Google-Fu

Would be nice to know if that applies to only the mount or if it’s the pet, too.

Yeah that was the last change but they keep changing holidays because its a really bad reward system and I was expecting a change since their announcement during fire festival, I don’t need the mount for hallow’s end but I want to see this change for love is in the air. Just one single attempt per day, increasing with each new attempt…sounds better that the first one has better % and the other attempts still have a low %.

I really don’t think you can get it beyond first kill of the day. I’ve asked around 40 people, in my guild and randoms I’ve seen get it in the group. Every one of them that answered said it was their first kill of the day. I’ve yet to hear anyone say they’ve gotten it on beyond their first kill. People on reddit have said they did, but I’m skeptical without proof.
