Hold to use burning rush, release to cancel aura macro?

is there a way to press and hold a key for burning rush and have it cancel when i release said key. is this possible? anyone do this?

sometimes in combat i need to double press my burning rush to cancel it, i think because in combat with global cooldowns or what not its not registering.

its an annoyance and i feel this would be a great fix.

thanks

That or just have it give you the burst of speed for 5 seconds each time it’s pressed. I can agree with how annoying it is now.

/cast Burning Rush!

I personally use a Cancelaura macro with my fillers.
Ie:
#showtooltip shadowbolt
/Cancelaura Burning Rush
/Cast shadowbolt

That isn’t consistent. If you press it too soon after initiating it, it won’t stop. Invariably I end up pressing a couple of times after that to get it to stop and it stops and starts. It’s just plain annoying. It appears to be on a GCD so if you press it too soon it does nothing.

This is true. I was just trying to offer an alternative.

You need to train yourself not to do this. Burning rush barely touches your health if talented properly, so don’t panic and try to disable it too soon. FYI, I map mine to my middle mouse button (the scroll wheel button).

Wait you guys turn burning rush off?

As mentioned above, just use a cancelaura macro with one (or more) of your spells. Works wonders.

Healer problem.

Why the hell is it even on GCD in the first place? Rhetorical question of course. It’s Blizzard, they’re notorious for things like Shadowform and Burning Rush being on global. But this change would just make our entire movement experience so much more enjoyable.
