HoJ already changed?

We’ve killed anger a good 30 times in the past 2 days and haven’t seen HoJ. I was told it changes to emp soon, but did they already do it?

Loot should change places when librams / idols go in at around phase 5. Until then, HoJ will be on angerforge.

30 runs without a drop is not too unusual. (Happens 21.5% of the time)

I seen a warrior level from 52-60 doing arena/anger runs. Got the hoj the day after hitting 60.

If you get a decent group you can dip into arena and then clear to/kill anger and be back at the entrance in 11 or so mins. 5 resets per hour. Set in your mind you will see a hoj drop every 200 runs. I have vendored 6 axes over the last 2 day - its not bad gold per hour.

Keep in mind its a 50/50 drop.

It either drops or it doesnt and you get the joy of being able to run it again! And again! And again!

It’s a 4.75/95.25 drop (4.75% chance to drop)

Supposedly it’s a 4.75% drop chance rather than 5%, so

(1 – 4.75) ^ 30 = 0.2322

I don’t know exactly how accurate these drop rates listed on wowhead are, though.

Either way, one person in 4 or one person in 5 will go at least 30 kills without seeing it drop.

It either drops or it does not. Its a 50/50 chance of it dropping. This mentality keeps the farm spirit a little higher.

Like i said - 1 warrior countless runs in brd from level 52-60. Another warrior got it on the 3rd run.

HOJ dropped on my warrior within the last week from angerforge.

Got it within the first 5 runs.

Ran BRD once and saw it drop. A tank got it unfortunately.

As he should!

I love your optimism! That’s a great way of looking at it.

I got HoJ on my priest for my melee spec two days ago, and I’ve seen it drop again two hours ago during an ony attune run.

It is pretty reasonable to not see HoJ, since i’ve killed anger over 50+ times (from doing brd from 54-60) and haven’t seen a single HoJ drop.

Even though the drop rate % might be pretty decent that doesn’t neccesarily mean you will be getting the drop at a reasonable time/rate. RNG can be fickle and somtimes you can get lucky and get it first kill or might take 100 kills.

After I hit 60 myself I went holy for raiding, so for me HoJ wasn’t really required/needed but still was shocked after doing BRD for lvling I haven’t seen it drop once.

This reminds me of that post about the briarwood reed as well where some people got lucky and get it first jed kill and others killed him 20+ times and no reed.

I myself am still trying to get that neck from ud strat and i’ve done it like 15+ times and still no neck.

I need the details on this melee priest spec. Would love to try this out lol

74 times. Only seen it drop once.

It’s a ~4% drop rate, same drop rate as eye of sulfuras and BRE, and only 1% less than Ashkandi. Get used to it - there’s a lot of items with cruddy drop rates.

Nope.

Had one drop my Friday night and 2 drop for a guildy’s farm group.

RNG is RNG.

Dude, my rogue has been stealthing anger for over 60 runs and havn’t seen it drop yet, the chance drop is such BS I stopped actively looking for rogues to do it.

First part is correct.

Second part is wrong.

There’s a 4.75% chance of seeing it the first time around. One in about 21 people will see it the first time. One in about 7 will see it in the first 3 kills.

Not sure what you mean by “countless”.
One in 130 people won’t see it until they’ve killed Angerforge 100 times.
Hell, there’s a 1 in 192,200 chance of not seeing it after 250 runs.

There are probably more than 192,200 people who have tried to get that trinket, so odds are there is probably at least one poor fool who had to run the place 250 times before ever seeing it drop.

I 2 manned anger with a rogue took us 40+ runs before it dropped.

Took me 73 times, keep tryin bud.

Took my friend and I 3 runs to get it then my 3rd friend 21 runs.

While people in my guild were over 120 runs.

It’s 4.75% chance to drop everytime you kill the boss, have fun.

If this is true

How can this be wrong

There are 2 outcomes - regardless of its actual drop chance. It either drops (50%) or it does not (50%) per run.
