I firmly believe what happened is some mucky muck said it was a good idea and all the ‘yes’ people just said Yes and now we have this garbage.
Blizzard, you hired good people because they do good work. Why don’t you actually allow your employees to tell you if something is a good idea or not? AND THEN LISTEN TO THEM!!!

I like your thought process, but stating that people will go complain on the forums because the new content isn’t what we were told and knew what to expect.
Didn’t they completely hide this from the public? How could you even know what to expect if no one knows what to expect?

Once it was out for a few hours players were aware of what it was going to be, yet they still joined cause they wanted the rewards.
Don’t be angry at the players who enjoy this game. Be angry that Blizzard has tied this to WoW with ingame rewards.

I liked that patch personally.
But my laptop also wouldn’t run WoD from the pre-patch (to this day, the corehound mount is the only anniversary reward I’m missing because of this) until the selfie cam patch, so whatever they did in that patch behind the scenes made the game work again on some low end systems, so although most people only saw selfie cam, it brought the game back to some of us lol.

SO, anyone else having trouble seeing any of the rewards in WoW proper? I did get the quest for the coins, but can’t seem to find any of the transmogs or the ‘Happy’ pet (I’m only renown 6 so far.)

I got to second once, mostly because I was off in my own little corner just grinding down mobs while other people fought each other, and then when I was forced to the center everyone just happened to focus on each other instead.
I got absolutely nothing for it, less plunder than a regular match where I spend the whole time fighting spiders and raptors even.
The reward should have been another boat that doesn’t float mount.

Not really concerned with too many of the other posts, tbh. If there’s a lot of commonality, though, then I think that speaks for itself.
This is big sad though.
It been varied on what they don’t like. Most hate having a PvP event tied to items unrelated to the game, which they are now forced to either skip or play. Or, the long grind to reach the levels they need for those rewards.
I don’t think most are as angry about this experiment that Blizzard is testing.
Yeah, I’m cool with them experimenting. Honestly, I feel that they don’t do that enough. I have no idea just how well they believe this one is going, but what I do see is a bunch of angry gamers. 
There are those who enjoy it though and that’s fine. Truly. I wish I was enjoying it too.
That’s going to rub a lot of people the wrong way the excessive grind for and event so temporary and after a week my guess the numbers might drop by half for a lot of players saying (naughty word) this…
And the PVP aspect of is a turn off to a lot of players…

Just hit renown 10 and it says I have unlocked the mount . . . check in retail, not unlocked.
So on top of being actual garbage to play, the rewards aren’t actually working?

Seems pretty neat nice to see blizz trying something new though i would like it to not be limited time or least maybe do a season sorta thing.
