Everyone can participate. The stuff that gets the rewards is the PvE part of the event.
They can’t guarantee everyone will like anything.
So, can I ask who though it would be a good idea to make is so the only way to see your detailed renown progress was to talk to an NPC in the waiting area and then allow players to troll by using the barrel to knock people back from said NPC?
So much of this event feels like it was made to cater to trolls.

PvE players sub for PvE, not for PvP. the reason is because they are feeling uncomfortable fight against player type game which is so stressful. that’s why They didn’t set up in PvP servers. this world event should go for everyone but this seems a party to PvP players hunting PvE players. This is What exactly PvE players trying to avoid and Blizz pushing us die for them through the event. thats what most of all PvE players hate to play this event!

It may require renown 5, but the guy is also in the Veldrakken inn. Lets you browse without any time pressure or interference. There is also an icon around the mini-map in game.
Game should make that more obvious.

I would have prefered a system like the warfront with you know…naval battle, raid on villages…
Not this thing that the majority is rejecting as far as i can judge.
I said it before: Since the treason that was the reclamation of Gilneas, every time that Blizzard will hide the content mean that it will be not good.

It does. Doing the PvE stuff gets the rewards.
If the stress is too much, they don’t have to do it. Just like the PvP players have to choose if they’re willing to do content they don’t like to get cosmetics every other event.
It’s a huge game. Surely we can spare 1 event for the PvP crowd.
you don’t get it? we don’t pvp mostly but this is World event ← this is the point!! the world event should have prepared everyone’s satisfaction! not only pvp players

I was born in the last century, I do not understand this game mode whatsoever. And as many, many have annotated on here, there are a bevy of other games that have these game modes, which begs the question why are MMORPG players being forced to endure it without input prior to?
To the former, I am spawned into an area with up to 60 other players with no inputs and quests, that after almost 20 years of WOW quest systems, are not explained. Then I am randomly sent to an area on a mount I have little to no control over and upon arrival there are players 1-2 levels higher than me with abilities other than my autoattack. To be quite honest, attempting to work the VA call tree and claims department is more sensical and organized than whatever this insult of a gamemode is.
Finally, all that I have learned is much of what the gaming community writ large already knows, the playerbase is inappropriate and toxic. Blizzard fails to enforce the most simple of gaming guidelines as many of you have clear violation of naming conventions for your account, created characters notwithstanding. The poor form “tea bagging” gimmicks of FPS games are rampant.

It’s not even in the same world as your live toons.
I get it, and I don’t PvP either. But I’ll try it out and if I don’t like it, oh well. Not everything in the whole game has to cater to me. Think about how selfish that sounds. Blizz didn’t even make it so you have to be good at the PvP part to get the stuff, just do the PvE and if someone kills you, queue up again. (If you feel the need for the rewards)

PvPers are paid users too. Seems fair that one event can be more tailored to them when every other one is PvE.
Actually it’s not fair, they get the short end of the stick all the time but it’s something at least.
Yes, everyone can participate; however those rewards a tied to a grind that PvP players get in the way off. The PvE crowd just want get the rewards without having to engage in competition with other players. Yet, the PvP crowd just doesn’t care about that, and will hunt you down just for fun.
It not enjoyable for the players who can only get a few minutes of time before they’re killed. It really makes the grind longer, and put more negativity on Plunderstorm.
If Blizzard had just given two possible ways to play then it would have opened up more doors, and appeased two different crowds.

They don’t do that with anything else. It’s PvE or kick rocks. At least this one you can just get the plunder and still get rewards. (And yes, it does sound like they need to buff the rates for that at least)
I’m reading fine. You are mad that you didn’t get everything exactly how you wanted. That’s okay. Learning how to share is an important lesson for everyone.
