The game has been made controversial by too-online activists. There’s really nothing controversial about it.
But these threads are mostly intended to bait those types of people, who are all too prevalent on the WoW forums.

Glad you’re aware that woke ideology closely resembles a revolution lead by chairman Mao in the 60s. That killed over a million people all in an attempt to change human nature.

tbh I am weirded out how people drew the comparison between a videogame being controversial because the writer associated with that game regularly engages in controversial political topics on Twitter, and how we get from that point to “omg chairman mao”

They also said the same thing about the ripcord. That they couldn’t do it because so much of the expansion was built around how the covenants were separated. And then that aged like milk.

Yhis whole “community” action against the game is a farce.
Yhat community can mick rocks and get lost. Cancelling a game and its devs over nothing.
I say copy everything from the game.
I see the problem like this: housing needs a new engine>new engine costs money and man-power> Activision and Kotick are cheap and don’t care how the product turns out or if it’s really good, they’re in it for money.
Remove the corporate big wigs and replace them with people willing to reinvest money in innovation and many of WoW’s modern problems could be solved.
