A friend of mine just finished leveling, did one quest, and now his neck is lvl 50. I already completed that quest and my neck is at 38. What do I do to catch it up?
The last I remember you get called to come to the chamber and mother & magni give you a bit of a quest that gives you a lot of levels to your neck. After that its pretty easy to earn levels by just doing world quest since they got most of the levels not needing a lot of AP to earn.
Just to check, you have the achievement “The Heart Forge”? For some reason I can’t view heart of azeroth achievements on your profile in order to check. It’s the quest that unlocks essences.
If you do and you really aren’t caught up, then the 8.3 patch questline gives a lot of azerite.

If you unlocked essences before the patch 8.3 the hoa would lvl up to 35, after that the hoa will level up to 50
So there’s no easy catch up for people that played 8.2.5, but there is for people that started in 8.3?
The EZ catchup is just playing the game. I started playing again in late 8.2.5 and went from 33 to 72 real quick. It only starts to slow down around 70.
Every week or so every level on HoA’s requirement goes down like 30% or something. I didn’t play much after Uldir and for a while on launch I was one of the highest leveled HoAs until quitting according to I believe WoWProgress. Was somewhere around like 30th on that leaderboard which tracked NA and EU and a lot of the people above me got 6 monthed for abusing resetting world quests.
But I digress, the fact is I came into 8.3 with probably like a level 25 heart and I’m 72 now. Just doing questlines, emissaries, world quests, etc will get you more than up to speed. At one point doing my weekly expedition was giving me a multitude of levels, now I’m sort of in the middle of the pack for casual gameplay. The super hardcore already were sitting on 75.

It is blizzard, if you are not aware their aim is to keep players sub through a number of tactics

3 ) fear of missing out from content blizzard will remove after x patch
