I received the Hivemind mount last night. But none of my party members are able to use it. Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Is there a fix?
They do not have the Hivemind, but are able to join other peoples’ Hiveminds just fine.
EDIT: When I log on an alt, my party members can join my Hivemind. It’s just frustrating that this is bugged on my main.
Did you attain the Hivemind mount using a druid and that druid is your main that you are referring to?
Because I’ve heard of other people being unable to both join other peoples’ Hiveminds and also for other people to join their Hivemind on that one druid that actually did the acquisition.
Works perfectly fine on all alts, including my other druids.
It’s apparently isolated to the character that did the quest line and the other 4 you did it with. Any other character(s) on your account(s) can interact with one another or whomever they desire. Just the character that actually did the quest can only interact with the other 4 people that they did the quest with. Hopefully it gets fixed.
To tie in with this, the “quest lock” can be overwrote if you complete everything from the withered on up more than once. My guild did this twice last night with two groups, with members from group one being part of group 2 to help other guildies.
Group one consisted of players A, B, C, D and E. They all received their hivemind, and could mount up with each other. Players D and E, then dropped group so that F and G could get their mount as well with A, B and C helping since they all had monocles and F had the fourth. They completed it and the new players recieved their hiveminds while everyone else got a second hivemind worth a copper.
The members from group one could not mount up on the hiveminds of the second group and vice versa, EG: A, B, C, F, and G could join the hivemind, while D and E could only join the hivemind with each other.
I am also experiencing this issue. I completed the chain on my hunter, but no one in my group can interact with my mount. But if I use the mount on any of my alts, then group members can interact with it.
I personally believe that this ‘locking’ of the party should be changed.
Simply because Some people like myself used a PuG, coordinated and in vc and all. And went our seperate ways.
It doesnt exactly make sense to give 5 people, a mount that everyone can ‘use’ and hop in on…
I like the mount, it was super hectic, puzzling and fun to get. But this ‘locking’ is hurting it in my opinion

You can re-do the final puzzle with a group of friends to swap the “party lock” to them rather than a PuG of people.
The current bug where if you hop on an alt character, then anyone can join your Hivemind, is going to be fixed and was also confirmed to be unintentional by Celestalon.

That’s because abc redid the puzzles and there fore unbound thier hivemine connection to DE and now bined to FG. Its explains it in wowhead…the person who designed the puzzles.you only benifit to the most recent group you ran the puzzles with
Who knows if enough people cry enough about it they might change how people can react to it.
