Hitting 1800 in pvp should grant you high level pve gear

it just no longer makes sense to have this not be transitional experience…this is not to say you cannot go get pve gear you can this is quality of life improvements! its takes time to hit 1800 in ANY MODE and grit! Trying to do both is worth more trouble than its worth FROM A PVP standpoint.

This will increase PVE participation AND PVP participation!

It can be upgraded to pretty high ilvl the problem is really for most specs versa doesn’t really help in pve

Isn’t the conquest gear already like m0 ready?
Idk I haven’t done a mythic in years and that was only because I was meta forced to.
I don’t think there’s much crossover for pvp and pve in this game anymore tbqhimho it might as well be two different games (we can only hope).

Agree, but make it 2400.

1800 is free these days and the last time PvE players had todo PvP for the best gear they wouldn’t stop crying about it. :frowning:

Agreed. I think that pvp should NOT give the best pve gear, but I think you could absolutely make it mythic track at 2400, especially considering heroic aotc is comparable to 1600.

Crest rewards should be increased for sure.

Stop , this is very out of touch. Yes to the usual pvper and forum dweler 1800 is attainable early in the season but most people need to put a lot of work to get there. The average mmr now is 1800 and they get crushed and pushed down and have to work their way up.

So yes 1800 is free to you and many here but not everyone. Just like people claiming 2400 is free in blitz when it was what like 2%?

o.O? Out of touch? Clearly I’m being a tad hyperbolic.

I’m saying that because the starting MMR is above 1800. I get that not EVERY player is going to be able to maintain a 50/50 win/loss, but the game is quite literally stacked in their favor.

While it never meant a lot, 1800 used to be something people actually aimed for. That you can likely hit 1800 and not even have a positive win ratio is a bit silly if you ask me.

Bring back % titles and 2200 for elite mogs. Remove weekly MMR inflation. Make Azeroth Great Again.

I am telling you , 1800 is not average. I have friends queueing the entire season and getting it very late. Thousands of games going up and down.

This is just like me asking pve nerds in my guild if ksm is tough for someone who does zero pve and they said “its free”. It wss certainly not free for me.

Think outside of your comfort content box snd recognize it really “isnt free” to the majority of people

It’s all arbitrary and relative. There’s not really anything silly about it because win rate in a vacuum means very little.

Starting mmr is higher than Rival.

We’ve reached by point by mid-late season where people can effectively 40% winrate to 1500 (+ inflation) to get their elite set.

It’s definitely not out of touch, I’ve done random 2s with friends and some RSS over the years super casually ( 1900-2100’ish on a handful of alts ), decided to push BGB ( yeah yeah I know ) as I’ve been a BG hero for the last 20 years, broke 2400 in a week’ish of “pushing”. I don’t use WAs, I don’t have 500 binds for P1/P2/P3 etc. Just a casual BG hero who decided to do it to see if I could.

tl;dr - Some basic awareness and no raging will take you 1800+ easily.

I’m not saying it is, but it’s not really far off. While we don’t know the actual numbers of players pushing, that the game is starting you above 1800 is substantial. I’d be really curious to know how many players actively pushing (100+ matches played of any bracket) are below 1800.

I do get what you’re saying, but my comment was mostly in jest. I don’t think 1800 is as meaningful these days and I think arena and rated play are worse off for it. That said, I do think there are some serious issues with the current MMR system in all brackets.

Agree that 1800 as a number is arbitrary, but win rates are win rates. If we all agree that maintaining 50/50 after say a 100 wins should guarantee you 1800, I’m not against that.

Good idea! We need more players to join pvp. Maybe reaching 1800 rating or playing 50 games with a rating above 1500 rewards players with items useful in pve?

But many pve players are not very familiar with pvp scenarios… 1800 is not easy.

If you’re not familiar with PvP why would you jump right in to rated? If you PvE, you should generally have a decent understanding of what classes have what abilities and what they do - which is a huge part of PvP.

Will you join me on my holy paladin crusade? I’m helping people here and already got a couple people to their 1800 achieve and tanked back down helping a few more. Let’s have fun man.

I’m intrigued what are we doing who are we fighting

Alzheimers and E. Dysfunction.
