I have considered the possibility of Mion being the True Queen Carrier that caused the Hinamizawa Syndrome as well as the possibility that Lambdadelta was the Queen Carrier Virus itself but I never combined those theories I don’t believe…
It seems Lambdadelta is capable of feints(Satoko who has her laugh and eyes and Takano Miyo who has her name and as a child has her hairstyle) after all and as Lambdadelta mentions Bernkastel notices her enemy’s attacks and dodges them so she can notice bait even if she can’t locate the King for checkmate.
Beatrice makes her brutal attacks hard to predict and yet leaves her King wide open which makes her weak against a heavy hitting strategic attacker like Lambdadelta who who will detect the King and go straight for it with Bishops and Rooks and checkmate the King automatically.
Bernkastel rolls the dice in hopes that Lambdadelta gets her attack Rooks and Bishops killed off making it impossible to send out the King out of fear of Checkmate thus forcing either a Stalemate or Forfeit.
Bernkastel always gets a Forfeit out of Lambdadelta it seems because Lambdadelta is not incompetent enough to push her luck by making causing everyone infected to go berserk otherwise Rika who had already noticed Mion’s resistance to the Hinamizawa Syndrome would have desperately made a move to eliminate her first at the start of the next Loop and then target Takano Miyo ending Lambdadelta’s game right then and there.
It would also result in Bernkastel becoming more capable of beating Beatrice since she would focus on finding her opponent while also outlasting them. An opponent who rolls the dice to outlast the enemy and tracks down her actual enemy is very powerful as a Witch.
Witch Rika from Higurashi When They Cry Gou/Sotsu who is probably one of Lambdadelta’s Bishops(judging from the Red Eyes and acting completely opposite of Bernkastel in regards to fate and in regards to dealing with her enemies) is the sort of person who could defeat Beatrice due thinking like Lambdadelta and Bernkastel combined.
Funny how Frederica Bernkastel’s little sister Witch Rika Furude is better than Bernkastel or their mothers Lambdadelta, Eua and Featherine.
Makes one wonder what the purpose of Higurashi When They Cry Gou/Sotsu was until you realize that Lambdadelta’s rival Eua is her opponent who loses to Lambdadelta’s Hanyuu piece. Eua got tricked into mistaking Lambdadelta’s Bishop Satoko for her and her other Bishop Hanyuu for her opponent with Rika being Hanyuu’s King and not Lambdadelta’s Rook so she is clearly easily taken in by feints.
Lambdadelta humiliates Eua and gets 3 Witches out of the deal killing Eua’s Hanyuu & Satoko pieces without Eua even noticing. She uses Witch Satoko to take out Eua’s Satoko while also using her and Rika to wear down Eua’s Hanyuu until she dies then distracts Eua with a show fight between Witch Rika and Witch Satoko while moving Witch Hanyuu in position to checkmate Eua right then and there.
Lambdadelta always uses her Games as a means to get Witches and thus had her Bishop Takano Miyo used for that purpose though didn’t expect to get Bernkastel out of the thing.
Wonder what Meguri will result in. If Lambdadelta is instead simply making Rika gouge her neck out whenever she reaches a certain time then Eua will get the win condition by forcing the Rika and Satoko to Demonize and break their horns to get rid of Lambdadelta’s pieces.
Lambdadelta might even have sacrificed her Hanyuu piece to force Rika into a trap thus ensuring that Meguri’s Witch Satoko(who judging from her personality simply wants to take fate into her own hands and thus find out for herself why Rika keeps dying) would bring Rika with her to face Eua only for Eua to expose Rika succumbing to the Hinamizawa Syndrome when at St. Lucia without Satoko thus forcing Lambdadelta to make Meguri’s Witch Rika fight Rika in the Sea of Fragments.
Since Witch Satoko is working towards controlling fate rather than serving fate she would try to stop Eua from taking control over both Rika and Satoko by making them break their Horns after Demonizing(killing Witch Satoko in the process) then they would track down Mion(after Eua discovers that the sibling that didn’t get injected succumbed due to the sibling that did get injected sending the berserk command to her before offing herself) and chase off Lambdadelta.
