C’mon. Most Allied Races got a class that set them apart from their “core” race. The Feltotem Tribe totally justifies their addition.
Makes more sense than Orc Priests, at least!

No, it totally justifies every single Highmountain warlock being murdered, though.
Yup. That’s … kind of what we did when Legion invasions hit Broken Isles.
no it doesn’t. Shadowmoon Clan fielded quite a few shadow priests, Feltotem are not accepted into the fold of Highmountain
They had warlocks, they had soulstones. That mean’s they’ll come back eventually. The rare was a warlock, they even said not all blood totem were evil, maybe some feltotem will choose to come back willingly. Note : You only need a certain amount to come back not all of them so they can mostly remain enemies. But it would be a great addition to highmountain customization and set them apart from regular thunderbluff tauren.
Yes it would be awesome.
Just like how Night Elf mages were murdered despite Night Elves having previously banned arcane magic?
The quest could show maybe how some blood totem wanted to infiltrate the legion and learn there secrets and sabotage from within. So they could have a roguish angle and maybe demonhunter?
i would like this. Id actually also like to see highmountain heritage armor get a small recolour based around what tribe your from.
Like maybe a distinctive fel green for the feltotem?
maybe a hardcore iron/stone collor for rock brethren.
Blue for a river totem.
and maybe allot of colors for the wind totems?
There were members of the Bloodtotem tribe who did not undertake the ritual. They were undergoing the Trial of Valor in Stormheim.
Among them were at least Bloodtotem rogues, who could rejoin the Highmountain tribe. Highmountain players already have red body paints, suggesting some of them are indeed Bloodtotem.
Warlocks in Stormheim is a bit more of a stretch, but they’ve been needlessly restricted for some reason. The entire class is a counter-culture; if it was completely disallowed for being ‘against the ways of said people’ it wouldn’t be playable at all.
The only races that can’t justify warlocks are Draenei (it turns them into Man’ari) and Kal’dorei (it turns them into Satyr)… well, and Man’ari (it turns them green). That’s a magical conflict, though.
Lightforged have the same problem as Highmountain… not offering any new options for players. They could have Warlocks too, reskined as vindicators light-binding the former forces of the Legion.
They and nightborne both joined the Legion but only nightborbe kept warlocks. That was a bit strange to me. I hope they reconcile it with the eventual addition. I am having a hard time getting motivated to lvl my highmountain. They seem very similar to regular tauren. More classes would be nice. Feltotem horns and skintones though would be a gamechanger.
After they tried to annihilate the Highmountain? Doubtful they’d be allowed anywhere near the people.
The use of Arcane is much different than what Fel does to people. Even now, Warlocks are barely tolerated. A necessary evil. But Highmountain welcoming them back in after the Legion is no longer a threat? I don’t think their culture would be too keen on that now.
Mages were necessary after what happened with the Cataclysm. And they don’t go bat crazy and destroy things with magic that defiles the very nature of things.
Nightborne have no qualms learning and using and manipulating different types of magic. They don’t care what it does to anything. They just want more power and knowledge. For their magic driven society, their thought process was, “If the Legion can use it and be that powerful, I can do it better!” And that’s acceptable in their culture.
So what. Its not acceptable to be a warlock in most wow cultures. Especially human. I would think of the feltotem like something like a suicide squad. Or an elite force, or agents that chose to survive. Demonblood.
Anyway if the highmountain are willing to join the horde and ally with former enemies, the drogbar which would also make a good allied race or wow unit. I think letting former bloodtotem allies that are also descended from the first highmountain tauren back in there ranks.
Fun? Not allowed.
Precisely. If anything, it makes more sense than a lot of other races who have access.
The other tribes were betrayed by the Fel Totem. Plus the who demon thing doesn’t line up w/ the Earth Mother theme of the race.
There is absolutely no justification for highmountain warlocks.
Lets stop trying to turn every enemy race into a good guy.
They said the same exact phrase that demon hunters do though…
Also it seems like Azeroth herself embraced Illidan. So I can see something like that reflected in feltotem rejoining. The quote may be poking fun at the Illadari but I fully believe that the highmountain may be future illadari at one point in the future demon threat.
compared to
Notice how Nightborne were given warlocks but highmountain weren’t when both were enemy units.
I think those fel variants would be good cosmetics for both races though (for nightborne felborne tattoos and skin tones possibly affecting fingers.
Same with highmountain feltotem cosmetics would be glowing tattoos, fel horns, and it would be a unique form of twisted nature that shows druidism and nature can be corrupted but still fight for good and the protection of the titan azeroth.
To be fair, both of those NPCs drank demon blood. Warlocks don’t do that. One of the big reasons why the Feltotem aren’t tolerated is because they got jumped up on Demon juice, like the Eredar or Grom under Mannoroth. They can’t be relied on as a result.
