Highmountain Tauren 'Allies of the Horde' quests way to hard

Specifically these quests in the line:

  • Shadow Over Thunder Bluff
  • Dark Forces
  • Ice and Shadow
  • The Final Ward
  • The Darkness

Maybe a result of the level squish but the mobs that generate for these quests are way more difficult than they should be. The elites in the Dark Forces and The Darkness quests are so hard that the only way to beat them are to let the NPC’s do the work and you only concentrate on avoiding their spells. All the mobs hit like trucks and I ended up dying more doing this quest chain than I did leveling 1-60.

I know I’m late but I just started running into this problem too. The quest took me 3 days to complete because I tried getting better gear at first, and that didn’t work. Tried godly amounts of patience and still had to repair twice before I could kill the boss. Eventually I just let my tauren pal hold his aggro while I dodged spells for 5 minutes

Oh yes level 52 Monk and I am getting smacked silly. Totally forgetting this quest line for right now since dying 4 times should not happen.

its 2023 dragonflight has released and this is still a problem please GM’s make them know!

playing a guardian druid and getting utterly stomped on 13 tries in and everything is broken

Bit of a necro, i know, sorry but it’s the exact topic I would have posted. Just did this this morn on a 55 Vengeance DH. The Dark Forces quest literally impossible to stand and fight the thing conventionally. It cooks you in your armor in like 3 seconds. Had to hit n run and hop/glide around the area and come back for the last 3% or so.

Did ok with the rest but the final segment with freeing the protectors. The ones who fought back were way OP. Doable but it was like tanking a mini boss each one and bummer if you pulled any adds.

Love the mount. That made it worth it. Much better than the silly coyote cart Vulpera get, which I also just finished.

Whoever designed this quest should be fired. The fact this thread is this old and I as a returning player am still having this issue. I hate the quest designers for this game. No one is enjoying your garbage quest. GET YOU HEAD OUT OF YOUR BUTT AND BALANCE YOUR GAME.
