Whats the highest gear score possible fof Delves in 11.2? And how would i get a gear score higher than that? Just mythic raiding?
This is the difference in gearing:
Oh wow, these numbers are a lot closer than I thought.
Probably assuming you get full hero track from Delves and upgrade it all the way?? Is this even feasible with the amount of time in a (regular) season?
Yep! That’s where Turbo Boost comes in. Plus crafting.
I imagine the numbers are from hero track 4pc and trinkets, the 730 cloak, and 720 crafted for everything else.
I know I’m kind of getting away from the spirit of the post here, but this late in the season would it even be worth picking up professions?
I started really late into this expansion, so I haven’t really taken the opportunity to do it.
Probably not, but you can still have other crafters make stuff for you
How are your knees?
Mythic plus I think can get a touch higher than delves can but getting to that in delves isn’t super straightforward.
Raiding is the only way this season to get max ilvl.
There is catch up for KP, but if you’re in a hurry to level and buying mats, some of them are expensive.
There are guides to follow to make it easier. The WoW Professions website is awesome for that.
The onky time I ran into a problem was running out of Acuity. lol
But if you’re focusing on one thing to craft, it’s not that hard to do.
With a 730 cloak and all 720 crafted gear, somewhere slightly north of 720. Which isn’t bad
I totally would, if I had any gold I may pick up gatherers just to try and squeeze some gold out of the rest of the xpac
You can speed run leveling and there is a bit of catchup.
While you probably won’t be able to max the entire thing. You can cap out a few nodes that you want.
Guildies should be able to help! We don’t expect our guildies to give us gold and sometimes I provide mats.
I would say don’t craft EVERY slot. 4pc bonus outeighs the ilvl for most people.
But at least once delvers who don’t touch any group content can go from 31 gilded a week to 61 gilded a week by trading up runed, something I wouldn’t suggest to anyone who does M+ before crests uncap.
Yeah, tier does matter, but keep in mind you get discounts on upgrades if a higher ilvl watermark was reached in a slot, so there are benefits still to crafting a 720 piece even if you’re not equipping it. Plus the gilded FoS.
Spending 60 gilded to save 30 gilded is pretty silly. I am very aware of the discount system, generally making a crafted 720 to save crests on a hero or even a myth track drop is a loss of crests.
The ilvl FoS would generally be the last thing to get, crests usually going to equipped gear first.
You actually don’t use that many of your limited delve crests on upgrading hero gear for a while, you use them to craft 720s.
Then you only have your 4 tier pieces and 2 trinkets on hero track (or 1 trinket, if Alchemist stone is good for you)
what content are you doing that requires hero + gear
My calculations are slightly different:
There are 15/16 slots depending on weapon setup (1H + OH / 2H).
Using a 2H doubles that slot’s value for calculation.
Your max ilvl as a delver will vary depending on whether you want to keep a 4-piece tier set or not (you do).
A delver can fully craft all their slots but trinkets, so ilvl 720 on all those but the cape, which will be 730. Trinkets will be limited to hero track, capping out at 710.
So we have 1 slot for cape @ 730, 2 slots for trinkets capping out at 6/6 Hero (710) and 13 slots at 720 ilvl of crafted gear, or 9 slots of 720 crafted + 4pc 6/6 hero (710) 4-set.
Which makes up the following average ilvl:
-No tier: (730 + 2Ă—710 + 13Ă—720) / 16 = 719.375
-Full tier: (730 + 6Ă—710 + 9Ă—720) / 16 = 716.875
It’s slightly lower for players using the non-hero “legendary” boots (they should).
If using the LFR (veteran) boots, capped @ lvl 691, reduce ~2 ilvl.
If using the normal raid boots, capped @ ilvl 704, reduce ~0.4 ilvl.
A full mythic player will be capped at 6/6 mythic, 723 ilvl on all slots but cape, which brings them to ilvl 723.4375 (16 slots).
Add 6 to all this post turbo boost.
Edit: Since 2H weapons count as double, as pointed out by Cäpslöck below, calculations become easier.
