Hi guys now time has come and i want to pick a main xD
In the past so many people say pick your favorite spec, but as we all see balance just never happens… imagine choosing to be a feral/spriest/frost DK/ret when 9.0 releases haha, 90% of the expansion those are so behind in pve/pvp/mythic+/raid… i personally very very rarely invite those classes in my own m+ group because normally we want lust/brez/high damage.
So, if there is one spec that will top the meters in 10.0 what is it?
I wish they told us so we can plan, right now nobody knows what balance changes they will make. And we can’t predict them because there is no apparent rationale for the choices.
That said, if you like to DPS, a good option would be to play a class with many dps specs. There’s a higher chance of one of those specs being good in what you want to do. Warlocks, Mages, Hunters, and Rogues all have three dps specs, so if you’re willing to change specs, there will probably be at least one successful spec for you.
Also, fire mage.

We can’t see into the future past the rest of the tuning and live play of level 70.

good point… one of the best decision i made in 9.0 release was starting hunter haha. MM was good season 1-2 and last season survival was great.

If you’re worried about always having something that’s close to the top, roll mage or warlock. At least one spec will consistently be high tier, and while secondaries do change between them, itemization itself doesn’t.

Gazing into my crystal ball right now.

Just pick the least played class. Blizzard will nerf everything else into the ground and then the one class that’s forgotten will bump to the top.
As someone in beta it is impossible to tell right now. Plus there will still likely be some tuning before launch and bug fixes which could change things. The easy and right choice is to play something you enjoy as corny as that sounds. All of the classes are in a pretty darn good spot and just comes down to what content you do.

They will likely change a lot the week before raids open. Trying to plan for FoTM at launch is a fools errand, but if it matters so much to you then you will be capping every class to 70. GLHF.
My magic 8 ball told me it’s Monk.

Never pick the absolute top of the chart based on FOMO.
By the time it’s geared and ready, in comes Blizz with the nerf bat.

Fire Mage. I was hovering high over the pre-patch event boss and the Fire spells were coming in from way above me, no way in hell you’re seeing that on the ground.
Was very high indeed.
Pick what you enjoy playing. You will be able to get more out of what you enjoy.

Forsaken fury warrior is always the correct answer. No need to ask why that is, it just is.
Semper Fi!

I don’t know why but you seem familiar…
Nope. Must be my imagination. You’re clearly a dragon.
Still though…

i honestly feel like this was true up to legion then in BFA and SL this is so wrong : (
no fun happens when I need to track 3 different dots on 5 different targets on feral then see i do 50% dps haha
in 9.2.7, i can easily do 25k dps just by pressing bomb + kill command + carve on surival haha

If you want to be OP usually you can bet on at least one warlock spec.

Roll a d20 and a d6. Add the results, subtract 1.
Now to a list of specs in reverse alphabetical order, find that index and that’s your answer.
Following this procedure, I got survival hunter.
We don’t know because no one is llvl 70.
This is probably the single worst way to pick a main. “Top dps” constantly shifts with tuning. Also, it’s kind of embarrassing that you have to pick what’s default the “top” due to lack of skill and ability on your end to make any of them work. Just get better at the game and this won’t matter.
??? Not only is this an incredibly toxic way of going about playing this game, but are you serious? You’re 284 and 1314 and never breaking above a 17. Are you seriously this unaware of your own station or am I being trolled right now?
